The worst cramp of my life!!

Ok, well I did a pretty good leg workout today and had my pwo shake of dex, creatine, glut, and whey right after and then ate at home. Anyway, about 4 hours after my workout I sat down and when I got up my quads cramped so bad that I literally couldn't move! I fell against the wall and tried to push down on my legs while using my hams but nothing could get them to move!! The pain was really bad and about 2 minutes later I could do kind of a split and got one leg to bend and then the other. They still were cramping even though I had my legs bent all the way and was leaning back. This went on for about 5-6 more minutes. Anyway, I finally could tolerate it and my legs were still pretty rock hard. It's now an hour or so after and my legs are burning/sore and I can't walk up or down my stairs without pulling myslef up them...I have no strength in them. WTF! I've been upping my water and salt intake, while adding a little salt/sugar in the water to increase absorbtion rate. I also take taurine! Can anyone tell me what I should get. I get little cramps a lot like even when I just hold my hand up for a bit...but never like this!!!

Perhaps a muscle relaxer may help you...cyclobenzaprine works good for me.

I had something similiar to this happen to me before, dont think it was cramping tho. I had done a huge leg workout like never before. Then I went to class and when I left the class there was this slight decline where I was walking. I just fell down. I thought I had tripped but as soon as I bent my knees it happened again and then again a third time. I finally managed to lock my knees and walk back to my truck. Dont know if anyone saw me but I felt like a fool and been scared to work my legs that hard again. Not really sure where Im goin with this story except maybe to let you know that it happens sometimes.

I know a really sore quad injection can leave me feeling like me leg's going to give out...literally.

However, cramps are very rarely an issue with me...just be sure to always be as hydrated as possible at all times.

Definately, good hydration is vital for a healthy body!! Beware of drinking excessive water as this can have a negative effect, but you gotta drink A LOT!

Might pay to get your electrolyte levels up, these are mainly Sodium and Potassium. Supplementing Lo-Salt into your diet helps as it contains Potassium Chloride. Bananas are also a good source of Potassium!!
