    Recovery Concerns at 40

I am considering a cycle of test/deca and test/anavar. I have been doing a lot of research and think I have a good basic understanding of PCT. I am getting blood work done this month. Is recovery going to be harder at my age? Any suggestions on cycle length, compounds, etc. would be appreciated.

First off welcome to the board. I'm 50 and did my first cycle at 49 and loved it, out of this world. I did not have any problems recovering at all, I think if the proper pct is done there should be no problems. As far as compounds the basic starter is Test-e at 250 mgs 2x's a week, say like on mon and thurs. On my first cycle i did test-e but added 40mgs D-Bol ed for 4 weeks and run the test at least 10 weeks. Well this should help U some, there is plenty of info on this board. Good luck let us know how things go.

    cycle

I'm 43 and love to do cycles of test. Get increased energy, sex drive, muscularity, etc.

I do low dose cycles, much lower than what people on this board recommend, and get good results.

Typical "off cycle" stats bodyweight 235, bodyfat roughly 15%

Typical "on cycle" stats bodyweight 245, bodyfat roughly 12%

I do about 250 mg per week of test (test e or sust) and 20 mg per day of anavar (when I can get it). But again, while I like this dosage, 95% of the people on this board will tell you that dosage is way to low.

PCT for me is generally nolvadex and I take arimidex during cycle. I get really bad bloating problems if I do not take anti-e's like arimidex.

    Good Luck

Well a good idea to see how you recover is get blood work and have your test levels checked before ever cycling and then you will have a baseline to go off of.

Yes...older peeps (40ish+), would generally have a harder time recovering...Good solid PCT plan is muy importante!!!

Thanks for the replies. Does anyone think there would be much difference, recovery wise, of a 8 week, 10 week, 12 week cycle? Obviously, I want to start on the conservative side. More muscle is great, but health is more important to me.
