Depends, how good is the video source. Is HDMI better? Yes, it actually is. Is it going to MAKE A DIFFERENCE? Nope, probably not, unless you have some really high end goodies. Also see if you intend to transfer audio signals to a theatre system. If so, HDMI eliminates the need for extra cables because you can do BOTH audio and video thru one HDMI cable.
My vote:
Buy HDMI if you get a good deal or are going 1080P, which then you have to. Otherwise, buy Component Video or shop on Ebay for HDMI.
