Eyes During Kissing...

Okay, weird sorta question, but why do so many people close their eyes when kissing?

Personally I'm really into the eye contact, and I remember back in the day, I always told myself I would keep my eyes open during a kiss, yet, I remember when I had my first kiss, lo and behold, I closed my eyes, and it seemed automatic.

I've read other people on the net talk about this, and some do actually keep their eyes open, yet the majority close their eyes during a kiss, whether it's a short light one, or a deep intimate kiss.

Why is this? Is it a natural thing? Social thing?

I'm interested in your thoughts.

I don't see why it's so dumb, it's just one of those sensitive question, I just started thinking about, maybe I got too strong of a feminine side to me. And no, I'm not taking any Clomid right now, it's just a thought that came up.

Watching The Lake House today could have had an affect on me asking the question too...and no, I'm not gay (not that there is anything wrong with that).

I think it's a legit question, and people who actually have emotions might think about shit like this...maybe. And I'm trying to analyze it in a deeper style/manner, psychological aspect!

I think its kind of a good question only because it causes me to actually think about it and question other things. Mine are almost always closed when I kiss my wife unless its a quick peck as I'm leaving or something but with just about everything else in our sex life, I like to watch. Her by herself or her with me, I like seeing what she or we are doing.

Closing your eyes is in most cases a reflex action, when things get close to your eyes you will instinctively have a reaction to close your eyes. Also, with someone elses face being right in front of you it will be rasonably taxing to stay focused, therfeore you close your eyes to avoid eye strain!!

I guess I was the only who voted for open haha, my g/f closes hers almost everytime though.

Im willing to bet it is simply because you cant focus your eyes enough for it to make a difference if they are open.
