Do girls like big guys?

I read somewhere that a womans ideal male body takes after Michaelangelo's David. And that girls generally don't like big guys. But what defines big? I could understand girls thinking Ron Coleman is too big. I'm not huge by any means, but I am bigger than the average male, I have pretty good muscle size. And I notice I get checked out by more girls, than the average bodied male around me. I'm average looking, so I could contribute that to my body.
What do you guys think? Do girls like bigger guys?

girls like muscles... or the illusion i have found. if ur big and a medium body fat. u look very muscular usually say. 6 foot. 220 lbs 15% is muscular.. also say. 6 foot 180 lbs 8-10%? ripped is also muscular?

its all eye candy.. they dont know any better to a extent without being sexist.. u can be big with medium body fat and look muscley. or u can be really scrauny and look strong. so yeh thats all i have to input. but i dont like the ripped 6 pack guys with no mass on them. ill n ever be that. would much rather be fatter and strong

not saying u cant be 220 lbs 6 foot ripped. but yeh. theres a few ways to have the illusion of being strong and muscly for women well in my opinion

Yeah, I don't beleive that girls don't like muscles. It goes back to that primortal instinct, they want the strongest male, to ensure survival of their young, or something like that. But I think that they would want a guy with a nice body, just like we like girls with nice bodies.

I have ran into them both, THe ones that love the big guys, and the ones that think I am too big. I think it is just what they are used to and just like us guys, some like big titties, and some like smaller titties.......I like titties.....lolol

I'd like to find a happy median. Maybe 195, big enough to attract attention, but not too big.

I'm more of an arse man myself, but I guess that doesn't matter either. The girl that I recently had the hots for had an average body, she was kinda cute too. But I liked her better that the hotter chicks, which is because I got to know her better. Still, I have nothing against big tits and a nice butt.

I should also add that when I see big guys at school or the gym, I don't see one that does not have a hot girlfriend. So maybe there is something to be said about that.

If she is a little chunky but still cute, I don't mind. If she is obese, then we might have a problem, not just in looks, but it shows that she doesn't take enough pride in herself to take care of her body.

Not all girls like the same thing. Some like big muscular guys and some like guys that are just average.

thing is, my gf was border line too fat when i met her, but 3 months later. she was smoking hot. always had a really pretty cute face, but looked a lil big, but she ate good and worked hard and now her body is perfect, in my eyes atleast. think i help motovate her without being too big headed.. she was really nice so i gave her a chance. and she really got in perfect shape because i look pretty good.. i know i sound like a big headed idiot.. but it happens and im sure others know what im talking about

Sometimes you can't help being superficial. I feel bad doing so, but when I start to feel bad at my apperance, I look at other guys and say, at least I don't look like him. Sounds bad I know. Same thing with girls, I try not to judge on apperance, but sometimes you can't help it. I'm not like shallow Hal, like I said before, I have had the hots for average looking girls, even prefered them to super hot girls.

this year has been great in that aspect. i dont care what others think anymore. in highschool u had to get a girlfriend that all ur friends thought were hot or decent ect.. u couldnt like a girl that a bunch of ur friends said was ugly. well atleast i didnt. but now i growing up and know its what i want and looks are only initial attraction!

True, true. Believe it or not, the first thing I look for in a girl is the age difference. Its hard being a 24 y/o freshman in college, and trying to find an older girl, like 20 or 21. 18 y/o are just a touch too immature for me, there still all into that high school girl phase.

I think subconciously most chicks want a guy "bigger" than they are. Like you mentioned about protection, etc, etc. This is why fatter guys still get attractive chicks.

About how much muscle is too much? That depends on the chick...I'm sure some like em huge, ripped, hairy, shaven....who the fvck knows...

I'm still waiting for a chick to call me too big...

I think the majority of girls (well, over 50%) want a guy with muscles, because it 1) shows that you care about your body enough to take care of it and 2) makes you look more manly. I don't want to be able to kick my boyfriend's ass. However, there is a point when you can get too big. And THAT is definitely a personal choice (like you said with how guys feel about women's breasts).

And, if you're posting on a body-building/steroid forum, then I don't think you have anything to worry about (how was THAT for an ego boost?). Unless you just started out... then you only have to worry about it for a little while longer...

There's a subset of girls who go for BB'ers (usually figure girls or girls involved in the industry), but that's a whole 'nother story.

I don't mean, huge guys like Ronnie C. I'm talking about the bigger guy with noticable muscle and definition. I think that has better benifits, CK models are somewhat cut, but no mass, in fact the look feminine. With skinny bodies and long hair, not sure how many girls like that. My dad told me once that girls do like the sensitive caring guy, but deep down they want a man. A powerfull take charge masculine guy. Guess it just depends on the girl.

mark isnt a typical modern day model. i was just giving a fast example. that most people here are not 300lbs clean.

Definitley depends on the girl. I think girls who like working out and like looking good, and taking care of themselves, want a guy who looks the same. My BF is big, but not huge, with nice muscles. There are some guys at the gym that are so wide, it makes they're head look too small. For me that's not sexy.

i have been out with afew girls who didnt like muscle. but once they have it on a guy, they love it. i had this exact conversation with my lady last nite. she said before she wasnt into muscle at all, infact her last serious boyfriend weighed in at around 130lbs. but, she says (whilst squeezing my arm and rubbing my chest hehe) now she has it she really wouldnt settle for anything else lol

i think usually girls are avoidant of well-built bodybuilder types, as they think we are too into ourselves and obsessive over appearance. when on a date earlier in the summer the woman i was with said she would never have approached me, as she thought i would be the above, but she just liked to look at me (which i noticed, and got someone to give her my number hahaha, pussy)

Let's also consider what percentage of the population is actually good looking and has a nice body (2/3 are overweight or obese), so most women probably just like what they can get. If you aren't really attractive and you are overweight, you are going to prefer a guy who is average looking, so he doesn't make you feel worse about yourself!

I think that the ones that are not overweight have just average bodies. I took 4 college classes this semester and I was the biggest guy in all of my classes. And I will miss making eyes with the hottie that sits in front of me in biology, but I bet her 5'6" 125 lb boyfriend wont miss me at all! He caught us checking each other out a couple of times, of course he did nothing. I'm 6 feet even and was 194 at the time.
