When you consider competing however then be more aware of your stamina/endurance because BJJ requires a different type of wind, more of a wrestling type i think anaerobic abiltiy, you cant really improve it by just running and doing aerobic exercises.
I would go ahead and do your cycle with dbol if you want to get maximum gains or kickstart the cycle, your cycle gains are a priority since your just starting BJJ and you dont need to be in competition shape yet, just focus on learning the techniques.
Just be cautious of free-training too hard because the last thing you want is an injury during a cycle!! If you roll too hard and hurt your shoulder or something and you cant do upper body exercises then your cycle is pretty much ruined?
I have never cycled but my regular weigh training routine always gets interrupted by injuries, when i hurt my knee i couldnt do cardio or upper body, and right now i hurt my rib grappling really hard it was a freak injury i just bumped and reversed someone heavier than me and then felt my rib messed up, i got all the x-rays and ct-scan and the chiro popped it back in place it wasnt broken but still i cant do any upper body for 3 weeks and then i have to start lightly!!
Normally i would be depressed cause i cant train, but i made it up by focusing more on my cardio and leg training which i was slacking on before!
Just try not to get injured while on a cycle it would suck to have to cut it short!
