    Iran Slapped With Sanctions

U.N. Security Council Votes to Impose Sanctions on Iran; Iran Rejects Resolution

    Saturday, December 23, 2006
    AP

UNITED NATIONS — The U.N. Security Council voted unanimously Saturday to impose economic sanctions on Iran for refusing to end a uranium enrichment program that the United States says is aimed at building nuclear weapons. Iran immediately rejected the resolution.

The result of two months of negotiation, the resolution orders all countries to stop supplying Iran with materials and technology that could contribute to its nuclear and missile programs. It also would freeze Iranian assets of key companies and individuals related to those programs.

    IMO:

I am against military action of any kind at this point in time, My sincere hope is that the Persian people will take this to the polls come election time and send Ahmenajad and his master the Ayatollah to the mental health clinic where they belong

It's a security council resolution about nothing; as if any govt. in the world does openly supply Iran with materials and technology that could contribute to its nuclear and missile programs. and that asset freeze-how many Iranian defense contractors keep bank accounts overseas?

No, OPEC are losing it now

With the 5 biggest OIL consuming nations that formed a new cartel saying "Hey dumb****, we are not paying your price anymore, and we'll go elsewhere, or get new energy" and some of the OPEC members that doesnt have an agenda (ie: venezuela and chavez) going out against the movement of OPEC

Wait to see a major drop of price in the near future.

Iran Promises to Move Forward with Nuke Activities Despite Sanctions
    Sunday, December 24, 2006

    AP

    TEHRAN, Iran —
Ahmadinejad was quoted as saying "You'll Be Sorry" and downplayed the resolution, saying it would be the Security Council that regretted it, not Iran.

Iran's parliament on Sunday voted to urge the country's administration to revise its cooperation with the IAEA but did not set a timeline or provide further details. Many legislators chanted "Death to America" after the vote.

    IMO"
Amenajad has a one way ticket to join BinLaden in a comfortable one bedroom cave.
