Vacation in Egypt

I've got a vacation planned to Egypt soon, and I'm planning to pick up gear for my first cycle. I'm looking for opinions as to whether I should pack the gear in my bag (to be checked in at the airport), or send it back to myself via courrier (DHL, etc.). I live in Russia, so it's that and Egyptian customs I'll be dealing with, and I know very little about either system which makes me a bit nervous. Any help is appreciated.

OK, fair enough. As far as the "not too smart" comment...how are we supposed to get "smart" if we don't ask questions. I always try to do my homework before I ask.

^^^ Package and mail them to yourself. You might read up on how other companies package their stuff to avoid being checked. Some countries like Australia check all foreign addresses coming in country.

I have no idea about Russia.

whats the law on steroids in russia? is it like the uk where it's legal to posess but illegal to sell? if so then you can carry them back in your suitcase, just make sure you have a receipt from the chemist. customs don't care about steroids, they may say your carrying too much, if so you just give them a little money.

As for bribery, thats just illegal.

bribery in Russia is what people live by. I am from Ukraine a neighboring country and I tell you, without bribes you wont survive, we bribe teachers, police for speeding, doctors with vodka, every1 is bribable

thats what customs are like over there, it's very corrupt. you dont need to offer them money, they will ask for it seriously. even the police are corrupt over there.
