Thumbs up Doc sust help difference between a regular x ray and MRI

Just wanted to know, since i started walking my pain is better i feel it more in the lower back middle of the spin now, its more a sensation of muscle fatigue then pain.

My pelvic has been reajusted behond belief i am still amazed how my chiro did a great job.

I know that my posture is working hard right now.

I just wanted to know in an X ray and they have been taken from every angle, if there is an hernia it will show at least thats what my chiro says and even disk degeneration.

On Monday i asked again for an MRI to be sure he said that in 35 years of practice he knows when to send someone for an MRI and when to use regular x rays.

In my case he says that if i lost sensation in hands or legs, feet and when he lifts my pelvic i would have pains in the lower back the pain would be a lot more intense then what i have.

At least the walking does wonders, i walk to my job now its 35 minutes and walk again after work, i talk a walk during lunch hour too and a small walk at night.

I cant beleive how walking can get your cardio moving, speed walking that is.

    Thanks Doc

mri will show your discs and if a nerve root is encroached, an xray cant do this.
NOT all herniatiobns present with a radicular tyoe pain down the arms or legs, sometimes it can be just pain that wont go away. if your health inssurance is paying the bill i dont understand why this guy wont send you

Cause the pain is not always there, and now with my pelvic almost 100% reajusted the pain comes and goes away, and is far less intense has it was.

He doesn't want to send him because he doesn't want to lose him to a neurologist.

or an orthopedic for that matter. good call. hell i send most of my pateints for mri's and normaly they really dont need to go to a neuro or ortho unless they need a surgical refferal which would show that clinical corelation would be necessary

My chiro is an honest man, i been going 3 times per week for a month now and he charges me only 35$ he is well aware that my insurance budjet of 500$ has been reached.

So if he doesnt send me for the MRI its because he is sure i dont need one.

You can't see any soft tissue with any real resolution in an x-ray... at least.. for the moment.

If you want a real diagnosis, get an MRI.. period. If he doesn't want to send you for one, go to a different doctor.
