i have an audigy ls sound card, which used to work fine. however, over the past month or so, when i go to play certain games, it will make a crackling noise instead of certain music or sound effects and in others it echoes and repeats the same sound effect over two or three times. i tried re-installing the drivers for it, i tried reinstalling directx, and i really don't know what to do at this point? could it be that my sound card is just screwed? if anyone has any ideas of things i can try, i'm all ears.
