Thread: Which UFC star

    Which UFC star

If you were to have a street fight , who is the last man of UFC you would like to face?.. I would choose Cro-cop...he is just nasty...and I would prefer Rich Franklin because he seems like a mellow dude....

Well I would probably most likely want to fight Randy couture so I could say I got my ask kicked by my idol. I would least want to fight Jason von flue becouse if I lost to him I would be pissed.

Lol, ya most of the fighters would beat the average guy down, so kind of a silly question, but Im going to agree with you when you say you wouldnt want to fight Mirko, I wouldnt want to fight him either, those leg kicks of his could chop a god damn oak tree down.

christ the lounge has some dumbass questions in it tonight. i guess anything goes though.

maybe cro cop wouldnt be the worst choice to pick. i mean, aslong as it was on film, and it wouldnt likely last very long. whats his ground game like?

I really would not want to fight against Diego Sanchez. The heavy weights would probably one-shot me.. much worse things can happen than that.

i dont know...it a toss up between valderlei silva or Crocop...both are just straight nasty and have NO PROBLEM kicking someone in the face. I believe it was Crocop that said, his left leg will put you in the hospital and his right leg will put you in a coffin........Nasty!!!!!

Mark Kerr was vicious but I am sorry he was so overrated. He really did nothing in the sport and is a complete wash up now.

Sorry bro, I am going to have to disagree.

Mark (before he got strung out) was an extremely talented fighter. This guy pounded everyone he faced. He had lots of injuries from wrestling in college.
Because of guys like him, the whole "Ground-n-pound" stuff came out. Mark Coleman and he were training partners.

THE ONLY reason he didn't fight more in the US is because JAPAN pays way more for their fighters than the UFC does. Maybe NOW with endorsements and a contract UFC is getting close, But from the early 90's to now Japan has ALWAYS paid more.

That is also why you won't see too many fighters crossing over from Pride to UFC to whomever.

THe U.S. (people) like FAST paced, action packed, boxing and kicking. That is why the UFC has shortened the rounds and made the game faster. A huge change from the original days when Gracie owned the UFC.

So fighters (like gracie) have fought mainly 10 min rounds. So when they come here to fight in the UFC, there game is just starting to flow just as the round is over. Sucks for them but Dana White is very good at reading what the US market wanted and made the changes accordingly.

Yeah that maybe true but i know for a fact that Crocop made $350,000 in his first UFC fight. Im not sure how much he was making in Pride but obviously not the same amount.

I'm sure fedor knows a way to break all my limbs in the most grueling painful way..

yah Cro-Cop nasty kick to the head .. but that would prolly leave me in a half-concious lala land before he finishes me off.. (his groundgame has improved a lot.. especially his ground defence)

  17. #17
Wanderlei silva is also scary... Vitor Belfort ..during his prime ..

Yeah Wanderlei is a deadly fighter, he is one of my favs. Its too bad that he lost to cro cop though, I was cheering for him, but that head kick took him out. He not in the UFC, yet anyways, but he would take any fighter out, he would beat them all, he prolly one of the toughest of all time IMO, I sure wouldnt wanna **** with him ,and thats fedor emelianenko.

I really liked the Smashing Machine... I highly recommend it as well. But it's true that Kerr never defeated any top competition. His career crashed and burned from before he ever got the chance.

this was his first fight after in his MMA comback in 2004... sad outcome. You can also see how much smaller he is. Still a big guy but not nearly as big as he was in his prime.

    LOL mirko's posture..

he seems to always have his head down n is very relaxed.
its almost like he feels bad for the people he fights lol

but yah i know in reality, he's just looking and waiting for a hole in the defence or a mistake.. to land those kicks, or a combo.. very poised unless fighting a bigger + epxerienced opponent..

than he's a little bit more lively trying to avoid but still waits for the opportunity.
