no SERM needed when using letro as AI on cycle?

hey guys,

if i'm doing a test only (test prop) cycle and i'm using letro as my anti-e, would adding nolva help at all to prevent gyno during cycle? i've read in other posts that when using letro, SERMS are useless, but when people use arimidex (instead of letro) for example they sometimes stack it with nolva...

i'm generally gyno prone, so would i be safe from estrogen by just using letro when only using test on a cycle? according to c-bino's gyno post, the addition of nolva actually takes away from the effectiveness of letro?

I believe that letro prevents 98% of the aromatization so anything else would not even matter.

Generally Nolvadex and Letro are not used together, as it is common thought that nolvadex reduces the effctiveness of Letro. I have however seen the following combinations used, especilally during PCT, aromasin & nolvedex, and adex & nolvadex.

Better look at your notes again.
Letro reduces the estrogen in the body by blocking aromatization, after all it is an AI. AI = Aromatization inhibitor. It literally binds with aromatase to prevent it from binding to test, hence blocking the conversion process of test to estrogen.

Yep. I believe that you still have estrogen because not all estro comes from aromatization.

letro rocks, once my test kicked in I bloated like a motherfvcker and got itchy nips, letro zapped the hell out of it all...I'm as vascular as the day b4 my cycle...no bloat whatsoever, letro will be a staple of all future cycles for me. definitely no need for nolva on top of letro!

Letro does rock and is hands down the best anti-e but you have to remember it takes awhile to kick in. It has a long half life and for me takes about 7-10 days before it starts working and you will also get a huge re-up in estro-levels when you stop so you HAVE TO tapper down, that is very important, even if you are completely off all gear, if you stop letro abruptly you will likely get gyno. I use it when I have to because nothing works better but it makes me too dry so I prefer to use it only when I have to like when using a Nor-19.

I mentioned this because sometimes poeple will take it and get dissappointed that their gyno symptoms don't dissappear the next day. I've had it actually reverse my gyno but it took a good week to start, that's for me and may work differently on others.

I agree with the posters above femara kicks but. I usually front load it the first week I take it, doing about 1mg ED then backing down to around .5mg EOD - this however can vary with the compunds and doses of each cycle.

Tappering is something I haven't got quite down yet. The last time I tried I still got estrogen backlash - I looked like a water ballon. This time I will try switching to arimedex at the end of my cycle for a month and tapper that.

It is interesting that you bring up the time it takes to kick in while combating gyno - that is the only time I would take nolvadex and femara. After femara kicked in I would quit the nolvadex though. I avoid that senario by taking an AI on each cycle.

yes, Letrozole (Femara) can be used to raise LH and FSH (which are hormones which signal your testes to produce more testosterone). It also, of course, will raise your testosterone levels (6) via this mechanism. However Nolva works better for a PCT then letro. GL

It also will cause an estro rebound which is why nolva needs to be used after and taper nolva down

well, originally i had started my cycle with 75mg's of anadrol ED as well, but i stopped taking the anadrol after my left nipple started feeling sensitive. it still feels a bit sensitive, even though i've been off the anadrol for almost two weeks now (and just using test prop), so i've started using letro a few days ago... when i was using the anadrol i was also taking 20mg nolva ED and 0.5mg arimidex ED. now i'm just taking letro since i'm just using test prop... i should be fine with this, right?

yes, you will be fine with just the letro, like gator says. I personally prefer to use nolva and proviron for the test. The proviron will actually help the test work better as well as prevent gyno sides. Some guys prefer to save the proviron for there PCT. I use letro when using a nor-19 like deca or tren, however just stick to what your doing now so you don't screw your body up by switching back and forth.
