drop the gatorade and add oats. A 200lb male athlete should consume about 90 grams of carbs post workout. This is the best time to consume so go with a good quality low glycemic carb
Just buy Cytogainer... Perfect PWO shake IMO. And it is delicious.
There is no right and wrong PWO shake. it is one of the most widely debated subjects in BB and it has been discussed by some of the top nutritionists in the world of BB and strength training and they all have different opinions. The bottom line is do what works for you....
PB... How the hell did you get legs like that bro?? Geezus... Every time I look at your Avy my hammys hurt. lol-
Yeah i switched to oats from Dextrose and i feel alot healthier and better. Recovery seems the same too, Stick wit complex carbs all the time!
I started using dex in my PWO. J/K mate although I do think dex is fine! Just some serious heavy ass to the floor squatting....Originally Posted by Mogamedogz

Ok, so If I drop the gatorade powder and replace it with oats. Should I keep the oats whole or grind them up to make the shake smoother?
I've been using oats for the past 4 or 5 months with great results. For the last couple of weeks I have went back to Dextrose in my pwo and dropped the oats completely. After doing it both ways, I find that I much prefer oats.
I use the quick cooking oats and just throw it in the blender with some banana and protein. Tastes great and has good consitency
i've been using maltodextrin and dextrose in my pwo shake. beend working greatr for me and you can argue that sweetness the two gives the shake.
Chocolate Mint Cytogainer - hands down.
2 scoops in a little less than 1 cup fat free milk
3 scoops if Im trying to add weight.
I take my PWO shake to the gym with me and add water once I'm done lifting. I slam down my shake as I start my cardio with my BCAAs and assorted other supps. I find the quick oats to be REALLY thick. Should I grind the raw oats up before putting them in the shake? I think it would make it smoother.
Yeah, I would def grind em'
Dude, I just noticed you're from Cocoa Beach. That was my home before I moved overseas. I'll be taking a trip back there sometime this year. Lots of good times over there. World Gym in MI- that's the place to be.
