    Diet and Cardio Question

Does anyone here not use any protein powders in their diets?

Also, alot of people say to do cardio in the a.m. non-workout days.

I feel like doing cardio in the a.m. on workout days is more beneficial.

EXAMPLE: I workout MWF, so if I were to do cardio on tu/thr/sat, I would be doing cardio on an empty stomach when my body needs more nutrients than usual from the workout the night before.

If I do cardio in the a.m. on MWF, my body is not as catabolic because I did not workout any muscle the day before.

    So, does this make sense?

If you have enough PWO and PPWO nutrition on your workout day, it should not matter if you do cardio the next morning.

You could also look at it this way: If you do your cardio on the morning of the workout day, aren't you just carb de-pleting and ensuring you have no energy (muscle glycogen) when it is time to workout?

I dont use any protein powder, I think you could do either or as far as cardio,

but if your paranoid about really being the "catabolic kid" just take a scoop of whey or a searving of BCAA's before cardio.

Giantz11 answeared a similar question the other day and said that pro before cardio on an empty stomach is ok, but that protein supps arent needed, and if you've read his posts you might as well take this as gospel.

If you like to eat and have all the time in the world to eat slow digesting foods like whole meats... then go for it. I personally drink alot of shakes because they digest faster than whole meals, and i don't have time to eat 5 chicken breasts a day...

It all ***ends on you, anything is possible. Shakes or no shakes, it really doesn't matter, it's all about quality of protein and timing... Good luck

Yes, it does matter. Whole food is gonna give you better results in the end. Hopefully not all your shakes are whey if you consume that many of them...
