NotSmall they are stereotyped as bad dogs just because some have had anger issues and 'snaped'. Does that mean that they are all like that? no! The majority are great dogs, and some are whacko... JUST LIKE ANY OTHER SPECIES ON EARTH! Like I siad in the other pitbull bashing thread the reason you only hear about bad pitbulls attacking a baby or somthing is because that is interesting... No one wants to know about a pit licking someones face when they feel bad, or chaseing its tail.

I'm not suggesting that they are all bad, but they clearly as a breed have a tendency towards aggressive behaviour, you can argue all you want that its the owners etc and to a degree that may be true but the breed clearly has a predisposition towards violence and suggesting otherwise frankly is daft.
The links I posted all came up on the first page of a google search for "pitbull attacks" - try a google search for "labrador attacks" or "spaniel attacks" and see what you come up with.
This may not be a P.C. thing to say but stereotypes become stereotypes because they are usually correct, I have never come across a completely unfounded stereotype.
I am not anti-pitbull but it does annoy me when I see threads like this suggesting that they are completely blameless, talk about sticking your head in the sand, and when I posted up some articles I dug up quickly just before I went to train I come back and find the threadstarters response is to make stupid comments about my avatar in what can only be described as broken english.

You know what.. lets just squash this whole topic... Neither side is going to say that pitbulls are fine or that pitbuls are horrible creatures. Lets just leave it at if you like pits (as I do), more power to ya! and if you don't like pits just keep your kids away from my yard or I will have it rip your kids face off.
