what should you do with the blood that enters the syringe?

as above. all threads mention to take out the syringe and replace the needle. however, you've ALREADY drawn blood into the syringe.. what should you do with the blood? sorry if this sounds stupid i'm just not sure whether i should push the blood out then replace the needle.

Not a stupid question. Just inject it, blood and all.

It's your blood, do whatever you want with it. Shoot it out shoot it in, doesn't matter.

I thought that if you aspirate and draw blood, then you should discard the syringe, needle, AND gear that was in the syringe after you pull out?

But is it safe to pull out, discard the needle, stick a new one on, and inject again with the same syringe??

Sure, no problems doing that. And imo, the only reason to replace the needle is because it has become dull from the first injection.

I just back the needle out about half way and change the angel a little and push it back in and shoot it. I have never had any issues other than being a little sore the next day.

I have only got blood once (knock wood) I didn't change needles as it was just in ME, and its MY blood, so as long as the area you pull out and inject into is still sterile, you can do whatever makes you feel better.

As stated only reason to change needle is if it is dull, but after only one stick it should still be good unless you got lots of scar tissue

yeah u shouldn't be drawing blood out its not an IV dude, i've only drawn out blood in a very very small amt like a few times. and it didn't even go in2 the case either. I've gotten so good where i can work around veins and vessels where my shots have no blood. I've done 10 shots this week on my cycle and no blood ever came out after I pulled out the needle. just be slow and take ur time and it'll work.

I'm curious, have you memorized where all your veins and blood vessels are, or do you somehow use the "the force" to guide the pin where it needs to go?

oh, i have another question, as long as i see bubbles in the syringe it means i'm good to go right? i'm not actually sure how much to aspirate either. will just a teeny little bit to see some bubbles suffice?

I've had it happen a few times. I throw it out. When u plan a cycle you have to plan for these kind of mishaps...

large amounts of blood should not be shot into muscles...it's a great bacteria growth media...I would try to take as much blood out as possible then continue with my injection.

yes, i was thinking of shooting out the blood then changing pins. how large is large btw? we only have to aspirate like 1/10th of a cc right?

only aspirate until you get a vacuum bubble. I would not inject more than a trace amount...

alright thanks.. i'm more worried about the minor details like aspiration as it's my first cycle! (and first injection)
