QV Deca and Nizoral 2%

I just ordered a bottle of Nizoral 2%. I now that stuff is supposed to strip your scalp of DHT, but doesn't deca convert to DHN? I wouldn't say I am a novice, but I'm not a 6 months on/6 months off type a guy and I am only taking QV deca. My hair has thinned a little since I started college, but unnoticeably to anyone but myself. Will this shit do anything for me or did I just waist some time and money? You guys have always given me good, accurate advice and this is irking the shit out of me. Plz someone respond.

I'm using nizoral 2% now 2x a week, and Nioxin on the off days. Seems to be helping.

Nizoral is a mild DHT reducing properties but still worth using. You might try something else which you don't wash down the drain after a few minutes.

Get some topical spiro or azelex and put it on your scalp every few days before you go to bed.

Hell yeah, what do you got to loose. You might as well get some proscar or rogaine while your at it. Although this shit isn't guaranteed, you only got one head of hair, so do what little you can to prevent it from falling out (Especially D-Bol and enanthate) Good luck bro

Regarding OG's question with the pills. The big difference between the pill and the shampoo is that the pill will cause systemic effects, which is probably what you don't want.

Ketoconazole is a powerful antifungal, and that is all it is really used for. There is an "off-label" use because there is ancedotal evidence that the product may assist in delaying or preventing male pattern baldness. However since there has been no testing regarding this feature, the manufactuer of the product will make no claim that it will do anything other than kill or just inhibit fungus.

Regardless, if you believe the product could work i would take it topically and treat the site where you are experiencing hair loss.

The pill form will give you alot of systemic effects and will not target your scalp, instead it will target your entire body thus dilute any site specific effect.

BTW, antifungal medications taken internally are extensivly metabolized in the liver. And i read the insert which says "Ketoconazole interferes with testicular secretion of testosterone and may produce a feminizing effect in males"
