please edit your post, you can't post or make reference to sources
some hate sachets, some love them. I've used sachets and was happy with them, and yes I transferred the compounds to sealed sterile vials.
thats not a source its a product line isnt it? how did u remove the contents from the sachet? could i cut the corner and pour contents into a sterile container then use seringe to put contents into sterile vial?
r they sterile?
anyone know?
The inside contents are supposed to be sterile from what I've read. Most people draw the contents out of the sachet with a large volume syringe (with 23 or 25 gauge pin) then transfer the syringe contents to a sterile glass vial. I've never used them, but some things I've read to be careful of are, sticking the pin through the sachet and out the other side. Make sure you vent the vial that you are filling by inserting a small gauge pin (without the syringe attached) into the stopper on a slight angle. Make sure you swab all the contact locations (including the outside of the sachet) with alcohol and take your time or else it will become very messy and wasteful.
sweet thanx im gonna give it a try ill post results
They are supposed to be sterile but you should filter it into a steirle vile...
Vial, Vile, which ever is correct.
Anything that comes into contact with the air that you breathe is definately not sterile. Air has lots of particles floating in it, lots of bacteria on those particles, and just lots of floating bacteria and viruses floating in it. Picture a tank of sea water, with all the bitty plankton and tiny fish eggs and bits of what-not floating around in it. Well, the same thing is going on with the air that we breathe; there's lots of living stuff in it, and we're breathing it in all the time.
So . . . anything that's sterile inside a sealed container can no longer be considered sterile once it is opened.
Be carefull on ordering right now. If you want shoot me a PM. I will tell you all about my first, and most recent exp. with them.
I've done sachets before never had a problem.
I've transfered 3ml sachets into syringes for storage before because I knew it would be used within a weeks time.
