doc wouldnt check my test levels, PLEASE READ

as in a previous thread i started i went to the docs with my symptoms and told him i thought i had low test.

the symptoms i give him he said wernt related to low hormone levels ...wtf!!

anyway he gave me a basic blood test to check blood count, glucose, thyroid function etc and said them results would show any hormone problems and only then would he do a full blood panel.

is he full of shit??

That's messed up! I go in for a physical once a year and tell him I want my test levels checked while he puts in an order for the ussual blood tests and he's allways abliges me. I just say I've been feeling alittle off and low sex drive, tired and run down, don't have to go into alot of reasons.

im in england mate, we dont have health insurance, we pay national insurance through our pay check. so everyone is entitled to the same health care.

i told the doc i was tired, lossing weight and said i had low sex drive and he said they wernt necessarily signs of low test.

Is it impossible to see another doctor? I would try to go talk with someone else about it, because it seems your doctor is an ass.

well I would suggest your healthcare plan is similar to a HMO here in the states where they want to try the cheaper stuff first before spending more money... do you need referrals to se a specialist? if so, then he prolly needs to follow procedure and do basic work first to try to fix you as cheaply as possible and failing that then he'll do the more expensive tests.. of course.. this is just speculation on my part as I've never even been on your side of the pond..

same here, I dont know how your system works, but pay special attention to the age gap between you and your doc. It seems I have alot more luck when I talk to one close to my own age. You dont get all that "your too f**king young to know anything" BS.

well my basic blood results have come back and they have called me in so maybe somthing has shown up.

im sure he said there would be no need to re visit if the results were ok.
