Victor Martinez 1 week after the O!

Pictures of Victor guest posing at the NPC Brooklyn show. He's been to the gym once since the Olympia.

Cause he just dieted like hell and needs a break. He actually goes off. What you see is post contest water bloat. We all get it. He's not doing another show until next year.

It's just almost shocking how much condition he has lost in a week.

yup its not unusual to have a significantly noticable change a week post contest due to change in diet and workout schedule.

thats all sodium & water bloat......its very decieving.. dont mistake FAT & condition to water & sodium bloat....after my first show I put on 19 lbs in 48 hrs cuz I ate like an animal...after 10days I was about 10lbs over my contest weight once my body stabilized.

So by the looks of things vic isnt gonna be doing the usual european grand prix circuit this year then?

Come to think of it, are the european gp's still on? Ussually they are about 2 weeks or a week after the mr olympia. I know the british gp isnt on, it hasnt been on since 2004 now, but what about the dutch, russian, spanish gp's etc etc???

I wouldve thought it would have been an excellent way for vic to try to get one back over jay cutler after he was shafted by the judges at the olympia. Having said that, the ifbb judges would probably shaft vic at the eruropean gp's aswell tbh.

Reason i say this is because vic could have cashed in. Even a second place at one of these gp's wouldve got him 10k dollars, first place 30k dollars...so if he did the 4 of them, then he couldve earnt himself at least 40k in the space of 2-3 weeks.

Great, even less chance of earnings for the ifbb pros then and less chance of sharing the fun from the fans point of view.

Bodybuilding is turning stupid now, loads of ifbb pro shows being cancelled all the time because 'the funds arent there' to put the show on...yet the whole friggin time they wont televise the olympia or arnold classic AND THEY COULD GET MILLIONS ON PAY PER VIEW IF THEY DID THIS, MILLIONS THAT COULD GO TO WEIDER'S POCKET BUT ALSO THE ATHLETES GIVING THEM A HIGHER PAY DAY THAT THEY DESERVE.

It really is about time that the athletes get some more money, bodybuilding is such a competitive and hard sport, the market is there, but the people in charge just wont set the ball roling for it to become bigger.

with the controversy surrounding pro bbing and steroid use, i find it hard to believe the main comps will be televised. although i would love to see it turn out that way

As much as I am in awe of Victor, his high calves mar his lower body proportions. Although his condition was superior to Jay's (and he probably deserved to win), Jay's legs and calves are second to none.
