Yep, we were at the doc office today doing a Non stress test for my wife and baby (it's a fertility clinic as well)

the nurse mentioned that she couldn't find any HCG at any pharmacy (they use it to increase fertility in women who would have thunk it) and asked if i knew why...

I said, because china shut down production and now the USA clinics are hard hit...

she said "exactly, all those baseball players have done it to us"

I was actually surprised that a clinic that purchases from an approved inspected and controlled pharmacies would have an issue finding supplies..

But sure enough, they can't get it, even doing a national inquiry..

when a woman is infertile ,she has no eggs hcg is not used to make eggs, i have been through 4 iui and 4 ivf, hcg is the last thing a fertility clinic would be worried about,in the U.S. call a place called schrafts I am sure they will have in stock but not cheap

if she produced no eggs then she would be sterile, then nothing could cause pregnancy except if she got an embryo implanted

obviously you have no idea, they will use clomid, first if still nothing, they will use follistim and menopur, then if still nothing then you can say she is sterile, and even then you do not need an embryo , you can get a donor egg, I have been through enough of this shit first hand, so i know what i am talking about

I don't recall saying HCG was the first resort, you said it doesn't increase fertility which is wrong and I addressed it

...The (donated) egg is very often fertilized with the donor sperm before implanting to greatly increase the chances of conception...a fertilized egg is an Embryo....

cool.. actually they use the HCG in fertility clinics to force the ovulation, so they have the exact timing for the other drugs..

I know as well, since we did the invetro..

Unfortunetly for us it did not work.. we stopped after trying for 3 years..

wife went to a new endo and (thyroid was removed) and she increased her meds, and bam.. she was prego..

we are expecting in the next 3 weeks..

Our suggestion for everyone is to ensure they see an endo (thyroid or not) and ensure that the woman's hormones are at a level that she can get pregnant..
