I've been wanting to know a little more about prolactin as well. I see prolactin come up in gyno discussions particularly prog gyno. I'm not sure if its a typo or not that people mention prolactin instead of progesterone. When I first started doing research I thought caber and bomo was for prolactin not progesterone.

Prolactin stimulates the mammary to produce milk ( lactate).. **Yikes***.. Prolactin can cause loss of sex drive and importance .. I know what your thinking , dam I dont like this prolactin stuff .. I might start milking lose my sex drive and not be able to get it up... *triple yikes*

Its effects the body during sex . It has a effect on dopamine ( which is responsible for sexual arousal ) .. It also decreases sex hormones ( test in men and estrogen in women) so its definitely plays a big role.. It is a single chain polypeptide and it's structure is similar to growth hormone.. Prolactin can suppress FSH and GnRH and can lead to hypogonadism..


Progesterone is a steroid hormone thats involved in a womens menstrual cycle. It is synthesized from pregenolone( which is a derivative of cholesterol ). It's produced by the adrenal glands ,the gonads and the brain..


You might want to look into using caber to help with high prolactin levels..
