Several Major Busts This Week Alone-please Read!!!

I dont know if this is the right section to post this and if its not I apologize but.

Federal agents on Thursday seized more than 40,000 doses of illegal anabolic steroids from a central New Jersey home they said was being used as a factory.

The manufacturing was done in the basement of the Sayreville home of Alfred Scarpa, an electrician who was arrested by the Drug Enforcement Agency, authorities said.

Scarpa, 34, admitted he was involved with buying, making and selling steroids, according to a criminal complaint filed in federal court. He was ordered held without bail.

A message seeking comment from Scarpa's lawyer was not immediately returned.

DEA agents also seized $56,000 and two semiautomatic handguns at the home, where the basement was filled with "tubs, bottles, vials," Assistant U.S. Attorney Robert Kirsch said.

"Overwhelming evidence of an active, ongoing manufacturing laboratory for steroid production was blatant and in plain view," Kirsch said. He declined to say whether others might be arrested in the continuing investigation.

Agents found large hand pumps attached to large brown glass bottles filled with liquid in the basement, and a centrifuge often used to make steroids was found in the garage, according to the DEA complaint.

Chemicals were also seized, including vials of liquids labeled stanozolol, testosterone and nandrolone, the complaint said.

The raid came after the DEA obtained e-mails from Scarpa that showed he had been negotiating to buy steroid powder since at least April 2006, the complaint said.

Financial records dating to January 2005 revealed dozens of transactions in which Scarpa made wire transfers totaling at least $25,000 to businesses in Colonia and New Providence, some of which were suppliers of steroids, the DEA said.

Is it just me or is this a wake up call? The powers that be can just tap through your emails and everyday computer mumbo jumbo and the next thing you know... Knock knock DEA open up> thats a little scary if you ask me.

Way too much governmental controls. The medication is over scheduled. Too much mis-information being distributed by the government. All makes me sick.

So, if you had an operation like that going on for a bit and made some good cash... it would seem smart to assume you're going to get busted. Are there banks you can xfer your money to internationally that can't be touched by the US Govt? I'm assuming so but am pretty ignorant when it comes to this stuff.

Also, if that talk isn't allowed lmk... just was curious because if you had a couple mil stashed in switzerland or the cayman's it may not be bad spending a couple years in teh pen. (shitty logic but hey... why not be optimistic? )

Because its easier to bust ugl's then real rec dealers. So it looks like the dea is doing a great job agianst the war on drugs shutting down a drug lab. They know they cant make a dent in real drugs

There were also 3 other busts in different parts of the country this passed week.. ALL in connection with a previous bust a few months ago in Pennsylvania. I've spoken to several sources, and they have all said hands down that the majority of their customers reside in New Jersey. So, with the large influx of juice into NJ it should be no surprise that this is where they are focusing their efforts. Stemming from the above bust, was the bust of another lab in Georgia. Also busted this week, was a PEPTIDE source...so now even the research guys arent safe...

Im in NJ, so this is particularly disturbing for me...

I wonder if people really give these DEA douches a pat on the back? Wow, you shut down a small operation that provides a drug used by a small population that gets into even less trouble than it is big.

And... using that particular drug is legal in the vast majority of the world. Congrats!

This is like the third bust I have read about in the past few weeks. It looks like the clock is about the ring midnight and the magical carriage is about to turn back into a pumpkin. I feel that for our own good somthing needs to be done. People need to be weeded out. Some people have mentioned getting another VIP board going. Aside from that it is OVER.

Exclamation Several Major Busts This Week Alone-please Read!!!

There have been several large busts this week by some major players in the game. I'm going to try and post them in sequential order, as they are all stemming from one another, truely the domino effect. I'll give a short summation in this post before i post all of the articles....I'm also going to link to each article. I have not seen this info around AR and I think any members who participate in this game should see this info and see how serious it really is right now.

1)April-May 2007, Earlier this year, around April-May 2007, a very well known and reputable source which went by a two letter designation A*, were busted, and the DEA operated the lab for a month and continued to take funds, collecting nearly $100,000. The two men who ran this lab cooperated with LE in exchange for a reduced sentence, jeopardizing at least 1,000 end users, as well as other UGL's. The news website which had the article on this bust has since taken the article down. I have a copy and will post it. Also to be noted, at least 800-1,000 end users recieved letters from the attorney generals office asking if they wanted to contest their money being seized. Obviously anyone with a brain did not do this.

2)August 8, 2007 , a Pennsylvania source is busted with 22KILOS of raw powder, which the DEA found records had been ordered from China. To put that in perspective, roughly 44 pounds worth of raw materials, as well as a large lab. He is held WITHOUT BAIL, to give you an idea of how serious they are taking this.
    http://www.jacksonville.com/tu-onlin...89514503.shtml

3)Reported on August 24, 2007 ResearchLabSupply .com BUSTED. No news article was reported on this one. We only know things from different boards and people in contact with the owner. They were a research company who did not even sell chemicals, they only sold lab supplies, beakers, vials, pins, filters, etc..The owner of the company reported that the FDA&DEA were considering his products "drug paraphenelia," and had seized all of his computers and client records. The suspected real reason he got taken down, is because he labeled his oils as "USP" grade, when in order to do such you need FDA approval. In either case, L.E. now has his customer records and anyone who ordered large amounts of oils&vials is now a target, as most doing this are probably UGLs.

4)September 20th, 2007 , DEA agents uncover steroid manufacturing facility, and arrest Sayerville, New Jersey resident. $56,000 in cash seized, as well as many other materials used to produce AAS.
    http://www.newsday.com/news/local/wi...,4959099.story

5)September 21st, 2007 , "3 accused in international steroid ring. Sep 21, 2007 — Police arrested three people they allege are connected with an international drug ring after finding thousands of steroid pills, 17 firearms and other drugs at a Windsor Township home Wednesday." There is a list of all the items found at the home, which included 5 kilos of raws, and thousands of pills(AAS).

Local men plead guilty to illegally selling steroids
    By Elizabeth Fitch
    [email protected]

Two local men accused of illegally selling steroids over the Internet are facing time in a federal prison following a plea agreement Thursday in U.S. District Court in Monroe.

Gary Lynn Ward, 39, of Monroe, and David Ray Dean, 39, of West Monroe, both pleaded guilty before Magistrate Judge Karen Hayes to one count of distributing anabolic steroids.

They also had been indicted on additional distribution charges.

Ward and Dean were arrested in April after an undercover agent with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration made several purchases from their Internet business. The two admitted in open court they distributed steroids across the country.

While executing search warrants, agents seized steroids including Testosterone Enanthate, Nadrolone Decanoate and Testosterone Propionate and $259,000 and a vehicle.

The two agreed to forfeit the money and car.

Ward and Dean face up to five years in prison.

    Research Company Bust

Here is the most complete info I have, from a post made by an anonymous user on another board, regarding the bust of the research company.

Indeed they are fellas! Obviously, for security reasons this is not my real
screen handle. IIW is telling the truth. Bryon believes his calls are being monitored. For some reason, L.E. came from Rhode Island. He does not recall a customer from R.I. however, the FDA did in fact seize files and computers. For some reason, the IRS is involved with this matter. He said he pays his taxes but not sure as to why they are there. They are able to view his emails and previous history of orders from ALL client orders. Since he does run a legit business, he will have records of his orders he has shipped for the past several years I am sure. He does keep "good" clients credit card numbers on file so whoever orders in bulk with their credit card number on file better move quick!

Word is that the equipment that he sells with his "legitimate" business is now being considered drug paraphernalia. The FDA personally asked him if he knew of any "UGL's" and of course he had no clue as to what they were speaking of. He had said that there is a slight possibility that there will be further investigations with some of his clients that may have "misused" his equipment. Without saying it, he made it clear that if you are a good customer of his, and you may be one of the ones misusing research supplies, it wouldn't be a bad idea to clean house rather quick.

To the staff, I hope that this was okay to post. This is not made up information. Be safe everyone,

No bail for steroid sting suspect

Pennsylvania man arrested in Glynn on probation in New Jersey

    By Teresa Stepzinski, The Times-Union

BRUNSWICK - A Pennsylvania man snared in a federal sting operation targeting steroid traffickers nationwide will remain jailed in Southeast Georgia while awaiting trial.

Brian C. Parker, 23, of Bethlehem, is charged with distributing anabolic steroids from "rogue manufacturers" in China, as well as selling homemade male sexual performance drugs to undercover narcotics agents posing as customers in Glynn County.

After hearing testimony on the scope of the federal investigation, U.S. Magistrate James Graham ordered Parker jailed without bail on Monday pending trial. Graham also cited the fact that Parker is already on probation for a prior steroid distribution case in New Jersey.

"Mr. Parker will be detained without bond because he has demonstrated an inability or unwillingness to comply with the court of Hunterdon County, N.J.," Graham said.

Parker pleaded not guilty July 31 to federal charges of conspiracy to possess and distribute anabolic steroids and distribution of anabolic steroids.

He is the second man in less than a month to face federal charges stemming from the portion of the sting operation conducted in Glynn County during April and May.

David Paul Jack, 32, of Homosassa, Fla., pleaded not guilty July 17 to the same federal charges as Parker albeit for a different incident.

At that time, Graham ordered Jack jailed without bail until his trial.

Both Parker and Jack are linked to the same source and distribution network of illegal steroids coming into the United States from China, sworn affidavits from investigators and other court documents show.

A federal grand jury in Savannah charged the men in separate indictments.

Graham questioned the government last week about the extent of the steroid distribution in Glynn or the other 42 counties making up the U.S. Southern District of Georgia.

There is no indication that Parker or Jack had any prior connection to this area, FBI Special Agent Tony Alig testified.

There was also no evidence that steroids had been sent to the area before the sting operation, Alig said.

Both Parker and Jack could have been prosecuted in other federal jurisdictions, Alig replied to additional questions from Graham.

The men's arrest stems from an ongoing investigation involving the FBI, U.S. Food and Drug Administration and U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.

Parker, alias Livestronger, used an encrypted e-mail system to broker the sale and distribution of steroids as well as the sexual enhancement drugs, Alig testified.

Undercover agents posing as customers negotiated to buy steroids and "homemade Viagra" from Parker via a series of encrypted e-mails, Alig testified.

On May 2, an agent in Brunswick received a package from Parker containing 100 vials of liquid anabolic steroids plus 1,000 tablets of "homemade Viagra," Alig testified.

As the sting continued, agents began monitoring the Lehigh Valley, Pa., post office where packages had been traced to Parker, according to the court documents.

"On May 15, he received a package from China containing 20 kilos [44 pounds] of steroids, which had a street value of $300,000," Alig testified.

Parker was arrested May 22, four days after police seized a large cache of pills, liquid-filled vials and "three industrial pill presses used for the manufacture of steroid pills for individual consumption," the documents said.

Fonda Dixon, a federal probation officer, testified that Parker has a criminal record including arrests for endangering the welfare of a child, and possession and distribution of steroids,

Parker currently is on 12-month pretrial intervention probation stemming from a New Jersey charge of distribution and possession of a controlled substance - steroids, Dixon testified.

That charge resulted from Parker having 200 doses of steroids in 2005, Dixon said.

Jack, known by the alias "Worldwide," is charged with distributing 1,050 grams of steroids May 24 to an undercover officer with the Glynn-Brunswick Narcotics Enforcement Team, who was posing as a customer in the federal sting.

Jack also has a criminal record including arrests and probation violations for possessing and selling marijuana, cruelty to children and aggravated battery of a pregnant woman, Alig previously testified.

Both the federal conspiracy and distribution of steroids charges are punishable by up to five years in federal prison plus up to a $250,000 fine.

If convicted, Parker and Jack each would have to serve at least 85 percent of any prison sentence because there is no federal parole.

No trial dates have been set for either of the men.

DEA says agents uncover steroid factory and arrest resident
By JEFFREY GOLD Associated Press Writer
    5:57 PM EDT, September 20, 2007

NEWARK, N.J. - Drug enforcement agents on Thursday seized more than 40,000 doses of illegal anabolic steroids at a central New Jersey home they said was being used as a factory.

The manufacturing allegedly was done in the basement of the Sayreville home of Alfred Scarpa, an electrician who was arrested by the Drug Enforcement Agency.

Scarpa, 34, admitted he was involved with buying, making and selling steroids, according to a DEA criminal complaint filed in federal court.

He was ordered held without bail by U.S. Magistrate Esther Salas, pending a bail hearing on Tuesday.

He said the investigation was continuing, but declined to say if others might be arrested.

Agents found large hand pumps attached to large brown glass bottles filled with liquid in the basement, while a centrifuge often used to make steroids was found in the garage, according to the DEA complaint filed against Scarpa.

Quantities of various chemicals were also seized, including vials of liquids labeled stanozolol, testosterone and nandrolone, the complaint said.

The raid came after the DEA obtained e-mails from Scarpa that showed he had been negotiating to buy steroid powder since at least April 2006, the complaint said.

3 accused in international steriod ring
Police, DEA said there was a lab in Windsor Township home
    By ANGIE MASON
    Daily Record/Sunday News
Article Last Updated: 09/21/2007 09:17:35 PM EDT

    8:38 PM
Sep 21, 2007 — Police arrested three people they allege are connected with an international drug ring after finding thousands of steroid pills, 17 firearms and other drugs at a Windsor Township home Wednesday.
Nicole D. Gonzalez and her boyfriend, John P. Russo, both of Windsor Township, are accused of being involved in a large-scale Internet steroid operation, according to an affidavit.

Police searched the couple's Biglar Court home Wednesday and found the weapons and the makings of a steroid lab, the affidavit states.

Russo and Gonzalez allegedly were found to be sending and receiving illegal steroids packages, both nationally and internationally, during an investigation by Drug Enforcement Administration Agent Andrew Cunney, according to the affidavit.

The DEA conducted controlled buys with the couple. Russo sent steroids and Gonzalez received illegal drug proceeds, the document states. Her bank accounts showed she was receiving money from Serbia.

    The
couple also was receiving materials to make steroids from China, the affidavit says.
Police went to Gonzalez's and Russo's home at 7:21 p.m. Wednesday.

Todd Robert Zima Jr. of Lancaster was there when police arrived and said he was house-sitting. Police could see the drug lab in the garage, , the affidavit states. When questioned if there was anything illegal in the house, Zima told them there was marijuana, according to court documents.

After waiting two and a half hours for a search warrant, police found the drugs and weapons, according to court documents.

Gonzalez was arrested when she arrived at the home during the search.

Charges related to the manufacturing and possession of drugs were filed against her and against Zima in York County District Justice Doug Meisenhelter's office. Gonzalez was in York County Prison in lieu of $1 million bail Friday night. Zima made bail and was released late Thursday night, according to Central Booking. His bail amount was unclear.

Russo was arrested on a federal indictment from California during the investigation, according to the affidavit.

Michael Sanders, a spokesman for the DEA, confirmed Russo had been arrested but could not provide any information about the charges or where Russo was being held. Sanders said more information would be released Monday.

Gonzalez and Russo had lived on Biglar Court for only about two weeks, according to several neighbors, who said they waved and said hello but knew little about the new residents.

Barb and Brent Blakely, who live next door, said they saw police that night but did not know what happened until the next day when reporters told them.

“It's kind of crazy. You don't expect something like that,” Barb Blakely said.

They and other neighbors said they saw up to 11 police cars at the home Wednesday night. Cars and motorcycles were hauled away from the home, they said. The commotion was gone by morning.

Sara Bush, who lives a few doors away, said she wished police could have given residents notice so they would have known what was happening.

“It was scary to watch,” she said.

The DEA's ongoing investigation involves many jurisdictions and could result in charges against others, the affidavit states. More charges might be filed once seized computers are searched and the history of the firearms is investigated.

York Area Regional Police assisted the Drug Enforcement Agency with the search.

The heat is really on right now, especially on certain boards.

Private suppliers are best, but they are susceptible to this shit as well.

They will never get rid of things that people want, they will only drive up the price and leave the shaddy characters to have it all. The feds need to wake up! Why ban something that people want? Nothing but a bunch of media hounds trying to feed off peoples fears

I just finished my last cycle for a couple of years. Glad I made it in time, this will give it time to let the heat die down.

Ward and Dean face up to five years in prison.
well known individual, this was shocking.

One of the oldest boards out there for open sourceing is really feeling the heat and I wouldn't be surprised if they went the way of **** and closed down that aspect for good.

I won't go on here and bash LE for doing their job as enforcers of the laws, but I will say that the laws that they are enforcing are pretty messed up. I'm sure 90% of the LE out there would agree that it is a little foolish to be chasing a couple of meat heads secretly passing around some test and abombs but the unresponsible reporting of media on the subject is what fuels the higher ups to make this a priority.

We are at a low point now and it will be pretty sparce for a year or two, but I can bet that once all this bull shit with Major League Baseball hits the front page and then goes away with time things will go back t o the way they were two or three years ago where you couldn't go on a board without stumbeling on atleast three new sources in an afternoon.
