Find a good question bank and just answer as many questions as you can. There are lots of good test prep providers out there. I would focus on one with a huge question bank, and use the books/ notes to review topics you are consistently getting wrong.

    Do this:

    1. Answer questions
    2. Figure out WHY you got the ones wrong you got wrong

That easy. Now you know that topic.

^^That's the best way to study for it IMO. Just taking as many practice exams as you can and study what you missed. Good Luck!!

all right Mr's Stocktraders peoples.. (I know that's a Fukked up phrasing)

what's the best way for avg joe with above avg intelligence/comprehension skills to become less ignorant on the topic and understandings of stocks/bonds/hedges/etc? I have a couple books but I'm inconsistent in reading them due to time constraints that will soon, hopefully, be lifted.

I will likely retire soon and could then prettty much study/trade full time along with my full time martial arts and BB regimen. I am trying to think of things to do in retirement beside just work out and train in the various arts. I've been considering a starrtup, a franchise, and several other options available to me but I have always had at least a passing interest in learning more about this subject but didn't really know where to start and all the get rich quick with stocks schemes have me leary of most "training" programs.

Read and read and read and read. Read books that are educational, not ones selling a program. Read the Wall Street Journal, read textbooks. Read investor message boards, read investing blogs. If there is a term you don't understand, google it. If you read an article and it is discussing stock options and you don't understand stock options, go research it. Finance is HUGE. Just start immersing yourself in it.

Let a broker manage your money until you know what you are doing. Do your investing with play money until you understand whats going on.
