In what way?

Everyway, from money, to security and organisiation.
The staduim is total waste of money on top of looking like a pile of crap.
The organisers are putting too much trust in the property market, hoping that the land value alone will be worth a silly ammount of money.

You only have to look at the logo and ask yourself this... how much is that really worth and can I (yourself) do a better job? to tell you the kind of muppets we have here running the show.

This years olympics will totally outshine the one to follow in 2012.

They can, they have in the past, the commonwealth games was one example, the 1999 rugby world cup another.
But in this instance i feel somethign is missing, you are very right about what you say regarding consultancy firms, the logo is a classic example.
