Utah Teen Charged With Raping Dog in 'Unspeakable Ways'
    Fox News
Davis County, UTAH — A 14-year-old Utah boy has been charged with bestiality and lewdness for allegedly raping a dog, according to local affiliate FOX 13.

If convicted, the teen could face up to one year in jail and a fine of $2,500 under state law, which classifies cruelty to animals as a misdemeanor offense.

FOX 13 spoke with Cheryl Smith, executive director of the Utah Animal Adoption Center, about the case. She urged lawmakers to pass stricter laws against people who intentionally harm animals.

"These crimes are getting more and more common. And it’s very disturbing," she said.

Smith said the dog had been molested in "unspeakable ways," but that it was in good care now and adjusting well to its new surroundings, according to FOX 13.

She said she learned of the case after a concerned neighbor called to report a dog was being abused. The owners then released the dog to authorities.

How could the kid rape the dog in "speakable" ways?

    That's what I want to know . . .
    -----------------------------------------

But aside from that, it seems to me that the kid needs psychological help, not time in prison. Kids who abuse animals have usually been abused by adults; so the nature of the relationships between the kid and those around him need to be scrutinized.

Seems to me that the probably reason that, as Ms. Cheryl Smith observed, "These crimes are getting more and more common," is because the cops are breaking up those polygamous villages in Utah, and all those horny guys with only one wife have to get a piece of strange from somewhere . . .

This is another situation where homosexuality should be encouraged. Ya, there's no doubt in my mind that homosexuality could preserve harmony in American households throughout the land, it could reduce the incidence of unwanted babies, and it could releive the burden of excessive intercourse endured by indifferent wives while preserving the marital integrity of the American Family.

    Such a wonderful institution . . .

IMHO, a crime that's even worse, is animal neglect.

The first job I had when I moved to Dallas (years ago), I was a city dogcatcher. I chased 'em in a truck for 6 months, then went to night shift (for the school schedule) when we killed all the unwanted animals with needles, drugs, and force.

That was, hands down, the worst job I've ever had, or ever seen. Every night, I had to take boxes of 2 week old puppies, and kill 'em. Needles in the abdomen. Judging from the way they writhed, it was not an easy way to go. And then there were the bigger dogs -- only about 1/3 went down easy; the rest suffered varying degrees of uncomfortable deaths. The tough ones, we had to stick the needle directly into the animal's heart. And they screamed.

A bigger crime than animal rape is the animal neglect that results in dogs and cats running loose, and dying slow painful deaths on the side of the road. Or the neglect that results in Poodles running loose with mange or distemper or worms, slowly wasting away.

You haven't seen anything until you've seen a 3 foot tall pile of freshly killed dogs and cats, that used to belong to somebody -- somebody who neglected those animals, who neglected to spay and neuter them, who failed to keep them on a leash, who failed to get them their shots, and worst of all, who abandoned their animal miles from home, out in the middle of nowhere.

Back in the 1970's, this city killed an average of 75 animals each night (more during the day, I dunno how many). Medical schools would get another dozen or so for experiments.

Ya, I've seen a lot of disgusting things; cruel, heartless, inhumane things done to dogs by their owners, that should get them far worse punishment than the 1 year in prison this idiot teenager might get for rape.

But which transgression gets media coverage? Which outrage against dogs gets the most attention, and which is never mentioned?

In the grand scheme of things, one kid's animal rape is nothing, compared with the hundreds of thousands of animal abuse that ends in their slow and anguished death.

    JMHO . . . .

    I'm getting off my soapbox now . . .

I would kill myself if I was forced to do that job. If I have one soft spot it's for animals, and man, just reading what you have to say about it is utterly disgusting... Sorry you did that...

I couldn't do a job like that in a hundered years Tock, glad you got out of it now though. You're right though, Animal Neglect/cruelty is ****ing sickening. Im doing a project at college at the moment on vivisection and it's not good the stuff ive unearthed. Needless and unnecessary cruelty to animals that go on in these research centers on animals that are going to expermented on, punching and kicking, screaming in their faces. Footage of scientists seemingly "enjoying" experimenting on animals without anaestesia. That is BAD SCIENCE. Hopefully with breakthroughs like stem cell research, less animals will be used in the future. As for stopping random acts of violence in the home against pets, well unless something like a expensive licence to own pets is implimented I doubt we'll see an end to stuff like that soon.

People used to give old Bob Barker (the old guy on "The Price Is Right") BS because he used to end his TV show with the phrase, "Get your pet spayed or neutered." If people actually did this, about half of what I had to do would be eliminated. The other half of the problem would be taken care of if people would just keep their animals on a leash, or inside, or somewhere where the dog wouldn't get run over or chewed up by a wild animal.

I don't see why neutering the animal is so important, just take care of them and watch where they go. I have seen SOME BS about neutering like a sign at the Vets saying Dogs are happier when neutered? Oh crap I didn't know we could speak dog... or better yet how about I neuter you see how you feel after?

Some folks, like yourself, are smart enough and care enough to take care of their animals. But if you were to drive through Dallas, you'd see that most people are pretty stupid. They let their animals roam free, they get sick, injured, diseased, have litters of unwanted animals, and ultimately become a public health problem.

Last year, the Dallas animal shelter "disposed" of 27,000 unwanted animals. Had their parents been spayed/neutered, most of those executions would not have been necessary.

Hmm I see your point about Dallas. I am over here in LI where that is almost never a problem due to the leash law. Or the fact that your animal will get its ass run over if you let it wander.

People are f'd-up. I found a german shepard this weekend, male which was about 40lbs(when it should be 80-110lbs) and out in the freezing temps for who knows how long. One of his back legs was useless he just swung it from his hip. He obviously belonged to a family because he was cat and kid friendly. Even after being neglected injured and alone this dog was kind and gentle. I brought him to the humane society
(no-kill) shelter. Probably going back to adopt him though. How anyone could harm or abuse an animal is beyond me. Unfortunately it happens to people/children as well.

Unspeakable ways huh? Is there more than one way to molest a dog?

I too have a soft spot for animals. I could not even kill the racoon in my backyard who got it's back broken by my dog. I had to call the sheriff to come shoot it. So, I guess that I am a ***** when it comes to shit like that.
