Has this injection gone wrong or is it just my paranoia

Some of you may no that i'v not actually taken steroids before but occasionally do the injections for my friend ben.
Yesterday i injected 1ml sust 21g 1.5" needle. He immediately noticed the area was a bit swollen. He said it doesnt matter but im soft of worried cause the other shots i'v done for him didnt do that.
So i sorta feel obligated since i was the one that injected.
I shot the quad deep enought and i thought i went slow but maybe now slow enough.
Everything was sterile. I asked him today what it was like. he said its still there but theres no pain at all. Its not red or warm.
questions-
Did i inject too fast. it took about 45-60sec.
Could it get worse and get me in the shitter?
Should i tell him to take ibuprofen or something just incase?

No pain, not red, not warm, just the swelling!!
i'v read through lots of posts but they all mention pain.

first off it is his fault for not having the balls to self pin.
second 21g is a big ass needle. Give it some time and keep an eye out for signs of infection

ya man too fukin big dude...get a 22 or 23. personally i like 22 its inbetween and perfect size..and call'em a puss for not shootin his self

Heat and redness would indicate an infection. If neither are present, and it is just swelling, you either grazed a nerve or bruised the muscle, neither serious but both likely with a 21g pin. Use a smaller needle and inject less next time would be my advice. Have him ice the swelling if it doesn't go down on its own.

21g pin does look big lol
he has some 23g which i sometimes use to draw but never injected with them.

tailspin69 your saying if i grazed a nerve or bruised the muscle, that could cause the swelling. Do you know how long it normally takes to go down. or if its happened to other people before.
I guess i got lucky with the other shots using a 21g. lol

45 seconds to inject 1ml? I inject 1ml of sus and 2ml of deca (same syringe) into my friend in about 5 seconds and I thought that was still kind of slow. Never had any bruising, swelling, or redness after the shots.

3ml in 5 sec. damn dog lol i guess if it works for ya.

I'v never seen any bruising,swelling or redness untill last time. the swelling came almost instant which make me believe its not an infection.
i guess i just grazed a nerve or bruised something. I'll post back if anything changes with it.
