    protein shake befor bed ?

    ok i have heard alot of different ideas on it between my friends, and im not sure what to do im try to lose fat build muscle and i have heard that drinking a protein shake befor bed is a good way to speed up matabolisem and help recovery i weight train 5 days a week and do cardio 7 days, is drinking a low cal high protien shake befor bed a good idea i know your body breaks down whey protien faster than casein protein but its all i got right now!

    Any clean protein but whey. Casein is slow and is good before bed, I like fat free cottage cheese.

    A nice protein shake mixed with some skim milk is a great pre bed time snack. I always try to have one wether I'm cutting or bulking, it dosen't matter. You'r body can always use the protein.

    If anything you would not take Whey pre-bed nor for cutting. For night you want a much slower form of digesting protein(as in Casein as mentioned above). For cutting your body spends calories to metabolize real food versus whey.

    ^^agreed.

    Never drink a meal before bed. Whey only has its place pwo or if youre in tight spot and need something quick.

    I drink ORYX with 1% before I go to bed and gets me through until 6am when I was cutting weight though I would usually not eat anything a couple hours before bed

    20-40 grams casein protein. flaxseed is nice addition for beneficial fatty acids

    eat whole foods. they help keep you fuller longer, pls the slower digestion of fats is prime for overnight.
