Seems the female forum is dead so I'm posting here. Done a bunch of research and been all over these forums. Looking for a critique of my plan. You guys seem to know alot.
History:
10 years of consistent weight training, several years with good personal trainers. I have a really good understanding of training, diet, the role of cardio, etc. I'm in really great shape, strong, no health issues or lingering injuries. I am at or very near my genetic potential and am always on or very near target weight.
I'm older than dirt (just turned 50). In the last couple of years it has become much harder to retain muscle, not gain fat, and adding muscle seems an impossibility. I have recently changed my workout significantly and am getting a much better result - doing much less cardio, fewer sets and reps, much heavier weight, much longer recovery times. I was overtraining.
AAS virgin and searching for the right first cycle.
Stats:
Height: 5'4" inches tall
Weight: 128 lbs.
Body fat %: somewhere around 18% is my best guess, maybe more. I really don't know.
age: 50
Diet:
Clean, occasional cheating, but not much
High protein, lower carbs, low fat and sugar (typical bodybuilding fare)
Maintain my weight at between 1300 and 1700 cals a day
Workout:
Lifting 4 days a week
Each body part no more than once a week
2 exercises for each body part - 4 sets each (2 warm up sets, 2 work sets)
Work sets are as heavy as I can go and still do 5 or 6 reps, to failure
Cardio - 4 days a week, 20-30 minutes, high intensity intervals
Goals: add muscle, lose fat, some size increase is ok, but not too much. I want to keep the muscle I put on - I want a hotter engine! I want to harden up my muscle too.
Cycles I'm considering (which would you recommend for me?)
1.) Anavar only - 5-10mg per day - 8 week cycle
2.) Primo only - injectable, 50-100 mg per week - 8 week cycle
3.) Primo/var stack - Primo 50mg-100 mg per week/Var 5-10mg per day -8 week cycle
4.) Masteron? - do women ever do this? A friend suggested it as an alternative to primo, but don't see women talking about this one. Too androgenic?
Also - thinking about maybe doing a clen cycle afterward. Comments on that idea?
I'm not a chicken shit, but I really really would like to avoid virilization. I've got someone experienced to do injections, but we live in different towns so I only can do that once a week.
I don't want to get the end of the cycle and feel like I didn't get enough gain out of it, but I also don't want to get over-zealous and end up morphing into a guy. Pics taken today.
