    Testosterone testing

Is this a quick and in-expensive test, and is it absolutely necessary (self employed, so all medical expenses are out of pocket)?

I'm 42, whittled my BF from 22.5% to 18%, and although i've ordered var, the more i read, the more TestC looks good to me. Thinking about a low dose of 300 a week to keep knocking down the fat and building muscle, i'm terrified of getting man titties, losing noggin hair, and other side effects, is the risk of sides lower at a low dose, common sense says yes (to me). Not looking to get huge, just in better shape, and a divorce may be looming (some women get much crazier around 40), so looking better has it's advantages.

    thanks

gators, u might get more responses in the "hormone replacement therapy" section, or also the "over 40" sections.

i personally dont know how much the test costs out of pocket, sorry.
