I am currently off cycle. I am still looking to bulk though but I am very concerned about staying lean. I want to get bigger so to stop bulking would not work for me.
My question is can we stay lean, increase size and strength all while remaining at 6 to 8% bf.
I am getting a bit weaker as I get leaner I noticed. I cant really tell though if my muscle structure is decreasing.
Today my diet was. This is about how I have been eating for the last 6 weeks.
Meal 1: 1/2 cup oatmeal with water 6 eggwhites 1 scoop whey
Meal 2: PWO: 5 cups of fresh fruit (most of the time this is dextrose instead)and 2 scoops of whey
Meal 3: PPWO: 1pint of brown rice 10oz of Grilled chicken
Meal 4: 6 Eggwhite Turkey and Spinach Omlette 4 slices of WholeWheat Toast
Meal 5: 2 scoops of whey 6 eggwhites
Meal 6: 10oz of chicken 2 cups of asparagus
I will have next
Meal 7: 8oz Tuna Steak 2 cups of Broccoli
Meal 8: 12 eggwhites and 2 scoops of whey
I cheat twice a week: Both as my PPWO meal where I eat whatever I want.
Is this too lean to gain mass? Is there even such a thing as too lean?
I would think that if your protein is double your body weight and your carbs are 1 to 1.35 of your body weight that you will just get bigger because you are consuming more than you burn. It will just be muscle vs fat.
I believe that I am 1% lower in my bf than I am in that picture taken a month ago. I am currently 196lb 8%bf 6'
