newbie needing help on insulin

what type of food should i eat before i takr 10ius of insulin
shall i break it dwn 2 5iu in da mornin an 5ius mid afternoon?

am a bit out of me dept on dis one
just need sumone 2 tell me sumink i can follow
a pro told me just 2 eat a couple ov eggs with toast n make a shake consistin of cup of oats 1 pint of milk and 2 bananas but even to me dis dusnt seem right
