weird hairloss

ok, last yr i did some winny with my prop. within 4 days of using the winny, i started shedding hair. so i got on finasteride. the shedding continued for a couple of months but then stopped. ive been on the finasteride for a yr now, and i have a full head of hair.

i came off the finasteride 2 weeks ago, to see what happens, and the shedding has started again.

i dont know if i really am losing hair, or just going through a shedding phase. i want to stay off the finasteride to see if i am just shedding hair; but at the same time, i dont want to lose hair permanantly if thats what is happening.

what do you guys think is happening... and what should i do? any suggestions pls?

I have been reasearching this drug latley cuz I too am shedding. I guess you have to stay on it or you will just go right back to losing hair, not 100% sure on this though.

Stay on bro..especially if you plan to continue AAS...sounds like you are predispoded to baldness and the compounds will speed it up big time.

when a person stops using finasteride, how soon after coming off does the hairloss start again? i remember reading that it takes 6 months after discontinuation for the hair to fall out?

ive only been off for two weeks... and its falling out? maybe its just shedding?

once you stop, you lose the hair you regrew and it'll look the way it looked before you started the finasteride within a few weeks

If your prone to MPB there is nothing you can do except try and see if certain compounds slow it down, but the end results either way is a bald head, harsh but true. If your slowing it down with Finasteride carry on using it.

Shedding is what happens in your first 3-4 weeks of starting the finasteride. this sounds more like falling out. Remember though, your hair grows and falls out in Phases though. So this could also be the start of a new phase

If you stop taking finasteride it stops mopping up DHT. If there's lots of DHT in your blood stream it will start binding to your folicles again. And strangling them.

If there's more DHT it will happen faster. If your hairs are thin (ie. each hair is fine) you will notice it sooner.

Normal shedding doesn't happen all at once. The timing is staggered from folicle to folicle.
If the folicles are overloaded with DHT it will happen en mass (ab-normal shedding).

If it goes on for too long the folicle will shut down and you won't be able to grow hair from that folicle again. Finasteride will be useless. With normal DHT levels this takes a few years. But winny ain't normal DHT levels.

It sucks. Muscles or hair? Muscles or Hair? ....Well, that's what it's been like for me.
