Anavar and test cyp for leaning up...

Okay, so again, I'm not a builder, a distance runner, and trying to get back into it at the age of 47, after struggling to maintain a good base level with crazy work requirements the past 5 years (residency). Now I have some time, but alas, my naturally endomorphic body has succumb to the avalanche of aging effects of my age. I have run marathons, trail and pavement, the most recent 2 years ago Sept. My question is as follows...

Would a moderate dose of Anavar or Masteron be good for me stacked with the regimen I'm on now?

    test cyp 200mg/wk
HGH 3IU ed x5, off x2, working up to 4IUs
    HCG

My goal is to get rid of the ridiculous love handles that are not only genetic, but also enhanced by my endomorphic, high body fat ratio, and to lean up and get some damn muscle. The only muscle I've ever really had is in my thighs.

    Here's the info:

    Age 47
    Ht 6'0"
    Wt 215lbs
    BF 26%

Workouts consist of cardio 45-60 mins trail running 5x per week, working up to 60-90 mins/day.
Body weight exercises push up, pull ups, crunches, 3 x per week, plan to add circuit weight training 3 x per wk, 12-15 reps per exercise (bench, lat pull, dumbbell row, shoulder press, leg press, and leg ext, bicep curl, tricep ext)

    Diet
    Approx 2500-3000 cal per day

    Breakfast
    unsweetened soy milk
    oatmeal
    protein powder (25-40g)
low carb toast x1 w/soynut butter

    Lunch
    4 slices low carb bread
    1-2 cans tuna
    fruit x 1 or 2
    1-2 oz almonds

    Dinner
    mostly soy products
    soy meats
    frozen veggies
    soy yoghurt

    cheats: 1-2 chocolate bars (dark) 3 x per week, mozzarella cheese, 2 0z 3-4 x per week

percents break down to about 30-40% protein
    50-60% carb, ~20% fat

I've been on HGH for 5wks, with the test same amount of time, and other than feeling a littler better energy wise, and sleeping well, I don't see a lot of difference. I plan to add HIIT to my cardio.

But I'm wondering if the moderate doses of Anavar or Masteron would stack well with the low dose stuff I'm on and just give me a cleaner, leaner look, with some hardening, better fat loss, etc.

I've always struggled with high body fat, even when running the trail marathons, though I've eaten relatively clean for years.

I dont understand how you could do that much cardio and still have that high of a BF%!

It doesnt make any sense... Either way, i can tell you that 26%BF is entirely too high to be doing any cycles...

You might need a better diet, probably a better routine(though again i dont know how your not losing anything running that much) personally i dont know much about dieting for guys who have that much BF and want to lose it so im not much help there...

But there are definatly others that do who can help!

in the mean time, youd better rethink any cycles, and brush up on this:

I can almost guarantee that the devil is in your diet.

Soy products appear to be the staple of your diet, and that is not going to build any foundation for an anabolic state that burns calories in a steady state.

Here are a few tweaks that came to mind:

    1. When are you doing your cardio? Most people say they respond best to fat loss protocol when they do cardio in the AM immediately upon waking up.

    2. Why are you only eating 3 x's per day? This encourages storage of nutrients because your body has too many calories at each meal (roughly 665-1000 based on your ballpark estimates)

    3. With doing HRT dosages and being on HGH, you should definitely NOT need to add in other compounds to achieve your modest goals.

    4. Your body is most likely adapted to your 3 sets, 12-15 rep regimen and NOT growing/changing as a result. Every 3 weeks I change up my lifting routines for each body part and prevent the body from "catching on" so to speak.

I'd say the #1 thing at this point is to throw away all the soy garbage you're eating and eat some real meat.

I'm not running that much, just 45-60 mins 5 x wk. And the body fat has plagued me my entire life, with the exception of teen years, and now I'm guessing it's due in part to the genetic factor, as well as the fvcked up cortisol levels from residency, with the 30 hour shifts, awake the entire time, every 4th day for 18 mos, then off and on again for years. And no doubt my body is accustomed to the cardio now.

I'll def. read on the clen, though. I tried T3, and even though I ramped up slowly, from 12.5 mcg daily to 75 mcg daily (7-10 days for each dose before increasing, in increments of 12.5, then 25), I felt like complete and utter shite. No energy at all, slept horrible, etc. Couldn't stand it any longer and ramped down and off. Hopefully clen doesn't make you feel as bad, and I've heard of them together, but I'm not eager to try T3 again.

I'm a veg--don't eat meat. Fish only, and that is difficult. The soy products are pretty clean--high protein and low fat and low carb, organic mostly. Though I'm willing to add more salmon and other fish if you think that's the deal.

I only eat 3 x per day because that's all work allows, unless I wolf down a protein bar, or eat right before bed.

I run at different times, sometimes in the morning, sometimes after work, and sometimes midday when I'm off.

I would listen to daem, and start to eat a lot more real protein and I would drop the carbs to around 30% of your total caloric intake and up the protein to 50%. I would also get rid of the choclate bars 3xweek, no need for those.

How long have you been eating soy products, and how long have you been a vegetarian?

I don't know if they have any merit, but I've read studies that discuss the quality of soy proteins and it is mentioned that they increase estrogen. DON'T TAKE THAT AS ME STATING FACT, but rather heresay.

Lastly, I hate to break it to you, but you're going to have to start eating much better if you want to grow.

Okay, will work on the diet, I read the clen post and will consider that, and definitely not cycle until I get results from diet and cardio. Thanks guys.
