Check the main page for steroid detections times. Some can be detected past the 18 month mark.

Many "natural" BB's juice up until they have to quit and still are able to pass the drug test. Every once in a while they miscalculate and get busted.

Lots of natural contests require the contestants to take a polygraph stating they have not used any AAS in the past year. Still doesn't really seem fair imo, I mean let's face it is Gunther went off for a year he'd still wipe the floors with any natural.
