Man, do I wish there was a chart somewhere that told you what number is what i/u on insulin syringes.
Can anyone please tell me HOW MANY IU's is the number "25" represent on the tube.
The total of each vial I am using is 18 iu.

hey man, that can't be right. That would mean the whole bottle would empty out at the 25 mark- plus more! One 18 iu bottle fills the entire U-100 tube with the solution.
Anyone else have something more accurate?

Correct, except the terminology used...
U-100 insulin syringe is divided into "units". 100 units in 1ml. 1ml is also equal to 1 cubic centimeter, btw. (cc).
IUs and Units are not the same thing EVEN though everyone likes to interchange these terms and cause all sorts of confusion.
IU is an internationl unit and depicts weight/MASS (actually the definition in pharmacology is "a given mass of a compound that exhibits a defined amount of biological activity).
A "Unit" on an insulin syringe is a VOLUME measurement.
So, now that you know about mass/volume you can calculate how much mass you have reconstituted in what amount of volume to achieve your desired concentration.
EX.
18IU reconstituted with 1.8cc of Bacteriostatic Water yields 10IU per cc(ml) OR .1IU per Unit.
OR 1IU per every "10" unit mark.

that is correct. you take the amount of water divided by the amount of hgh(18ius) so if you add 1.8cc's to 18ius every 10mark on the slin syringe would be 1iu. if you add 2cc's then 11.1 would be the 1iu mark. obviously 1.8cc's of water is the way you want to go

I'm so confused though- because a reconstituted vial would fill an entire syringe. That would then be a total of 18 iu since that is what the vial is 18iu/6mg- correct? Or is my thinking off?

just add 1.8cc's of water to your 18iu vial and every 10 mark will be 1iu. 6mg's is roughly 16.2ius. 1mgs=2.7ius
