Question for all ex Accutane users

I was prescribed accutane by my derm for 8 months after BAD acne on my face neck and back after my test and deca cycle...

i finished my accutane cycle already...stopped accutane for close to a year... no acne whatsoever now..

my fear is... if i were to start another cycle now... will my superbad acne come back?

it wouldnt be funny if i go back to my derm with full of acne again....

run an ai like adex or a sarm like nolva... the acne is usually due to high estrogen levels...

i've never used accutane, but my acne is defenitly down to estro. i run a ai on cycle and get 1-2 spots a week, no ai and it crazy.

Very interesting and very true, although estrogen contributes to acne its not always only estrogen. My estrogen levels at one point were through the roof according to my labs and not one zit thanks to accutane. Was it the accutane that kept it a bay, i dont know i believe so. But if you can control estrogen with an ai to prvent acne, then its suggested as accutane can be bad for you in many ways.

to answer your questinon about whether the acne will come back, keep your estrogen levels low with ai, and hope the accutane will have cured your acne. If acne comes back then try incorporating accutane at a low dose. Good luck

i always thought acne was caused by dht... i was thinking of running dutasterine or finasteride with it...

would 1mg of arimidex EOD cut it?

btw worst acne comes at PCT for me... VERY VERY BAD AND HUGE CYSTIC ACNE ON MY BAD... disgusting...

I feel you bro, there is nothing worse than getting all big, strong, and buff during cycle and then having horrible acne during and AFTER Pct. Happens to me too and it sucks ass. A lot of guys swear by tanning and vitamin B5.

tried mega dosing of B5 up to 6grams a day...doesnt work...

i really want to start another cycle but acne fear is holding me back...

i cant go to work looking like alien polka dots... colleagues and customers would get freaked out

I'd say there is a good chance the accutane you already took will eiliminate, or greatly reduce your problem, but you wont know until you try. Some people are just prone to it.

accutane essentiall destroys your oil production for the duration of your life! with some residual increase in sebacious gland reactivity...Id say you should be good...go get some differen gell or cleocin and put it on your back during your cycle that should be enough considering your previous history with accutane

As far as i know finasteride etc etc blocks or lowers reception of DHT by the scalp, not generally in the body. Of course i may be wrong.

Also in the same boat, i've had 2 courses of accutane in the past which at the time was the LAST resort as every other route had been tried. I personally feel it stopped my growth and i to this day (last accutane course was 3-4yrs ago) have dry lips and i have to moisturise. Very aggressive drug which is essentially a overdose of vitamin A, shouldnt be taken unless you have to imo.

But anyway back to point, when i go on cycle i will use an AI (and also herbal supplements for DHT just to be sure) even if it lowers my gains slightly, rather that then severe acne again.

but i still get one or 2 zits on my face.... and oily face... hmm...

im afraid this will go worse after i start cycle.. dont think accutane stops oil permanently though...

I went on Acc for another 6 months and havnt had any problems since. So just keep and eye on it and if you see a few zits go to the doctor with your history geting another script for it should be fairly easy.

accutane with gear is no no to my opinion. accutane alone is very strong drug on liver and it has tons of sides, not to scare you but to make you aware of the consequeces.

were u running arimidex throughout the cycle ? i was hoping running arimidex will help....

I don't think estrogen has anything to do with it.

My worst episodes of acne come from oxandrolone and stan. Both are DHT based and don't aromatize.

Test doesn't make me acne prone. I guess everyone is different.


DHT is known to stimulate your sebaceous glands to secrete sebum.

I always thought the acne was not from test or estrogen per say, but just the fluctuation itself of different hormones in the body.
