    Creatine PWO?

    Hi:

    Quick question: I always took creatine like an hour before working out, but i bought this Muscletech or Celltech Creatine that you drink after you work out. It also has L-Glutamine (amongst others) which I read on the diet forum should not be taken after working out. So:

    (a) what are your thoughts about taking creatine as directed, i.e. after a work out?; and
    (b) should I take the creatine after my weights but before i do cardio or after cardio with my PWO protein shake?

    I take creatine before and after working out, Why is it that your not suppose to take glutamine right after you workout?

    It's not a problem.

    You bought yourself some VERY expensive... and pretty average creatine. Celltech is just a scam. They'll charge you $70 for 1 tub of it. You should just be buying creapure... or just simple creatine monohydrate.

    Anyways, that said. If you're loading creatine you should be taking it 4 times a day @ 5g each time. When you're in maintenance phase take 6 - 7g per day.

    (I usually take my creatine, morning, Pre-WO, PWO, bed. when loading) -- just pre-workout when in maintenance.

    A). Take it after a workout to restore lost creatine. No need to take beforehand, it will be a complete waste sicne it will not add any benefit to the workout.

    B). Taking creatine postworkout basically you are restoring the creatine you "burned" up while lifting for the next time you lift. So take with protein and you are set.
