OIL= fat, and we all know too much of that is NO good.....
Salt, makes you retain fluid
and isn't Lays' slogan No one can eat just one???
chances are you are gonna eat more than one serving size.
everything is fine in moderation, just depends on your goals, diet, dedication
Nearly 58% of the calories are coming from fat. No protein and not a nutrient rich food. For the same calories you could have a 1/2 cup of oats and 7 egg whites. It just comes down to getting the most out of your calories.
one more thing to add: potatoes are a starch and starch i belive turns to sugar in our bodys. if thats true then i think it would spike your insulin levels and cause the body to store those carbs as fat. if im wrong bros let me know.
Yes, potatoes are a starch which the body then converts to a sugar, the rate at which this conversion takes place is dependent on the foods glycemic index. The lower the number the longer it takes to break down the starch. The slower the breakdown the slower the insulin release. Most of your potatoes, especially yams and sweet have a very low glycemic index and that is why they are included in so many diets.
Have you ever put some chips on a paper towel? The fat and grease in those things is disgusting, and like T-Mos said the way they salt those things in out of control.
on a lighter note, you can make your own chips and fries using pam or olive oil and air frying them(meaning putting them in a very high heat environment, 400-450 Fahrenheit)
higher glycemic carbs combined with high fat content = bad combination...... not even mentioning sodium content as well....
