    **** My Life

    So I just found out today that my mom has stage 3 melanoma.
    I don't know many details, but I'll find out more tomorrow.

    Just 2 years ago my brother had a malignant brain tumor. And now this....
    I feel like dying.

    Keep her in your thoughts/prayers/whatever, and hope for the best.

    There is hope that metastasis did not occur and organs other than her skin didn't get effected. Stage III is treatable; my mother was diagnosed with stage III breast cancer back in 2002 and her cancer did spread to her lymph nodes. She is still with us today and her tumor markers are in the normal range. There is hope for you, too. Good luck.

    A doctor she talked to today thought it hasn't spread much and he could cut a nice chunk out and that would be the end. Even though more will likely pop up for her entire life. This was a surgeon with her normal doctor.

    But I think she has opted to go to MD Anderson, seeing how they are the best of the best. She has an appointment sometime next week there.
