    Gearheads: 2009 chevy 1/2 ton with 6" fabtech

    Planning on getting a 09 chevy silverado z71 4x4 1500 5.3L gas extended cab. want to get a fabtech or skyjacker 6" lift kit. Does anyone know if the kit knuckles will fit on a 16x10 wheel with 4.5" backspacing? can i get away with less backspacing? looking to run 35x12.50s or maybe some cutting and get away with some 37s.

    hahahahha, bad ass. The next thing I am going to build is a bad ass diesel or a stroked and blown 6.2L L92 with a lift.

    i would guess that you could def fit the 35s with the correct back spacing... you'll need to do some measurments and ask a wheel guy.

    i have a 96 one ton suburban and have 35.5 /10 inch tires with only a 4 inch body lift... you will have way more fender clearence with a pick up

    I helped my buddy build his 03 tahoe z71. 3" body. maxx cam's 35x12.50s no rub. I built a chevy colorado with 4" suspension, 3" body, torsion keys running 35s on a 15" wheel.

    Doing a solid axle swap is just intimidating for me with a new truck/suv.

    A guy i used to live with had the older f-250 with the 7.3L powerstroke. like 4" exhaust all the way back, custom cold-air intake. thing was a beast.
