OTC in Greece and the new Anabolics law

Just so everyone knows, the law regardings steroids in Greece has become extremely strict for over a year now and you can get 10 years for even small amounts of anabolics.
Since January 1st 2009 its concidered a Felony and not a delinquency(i dont know the proper word but it was light before). This happened due to the M3 scandal with the weighlifters and other athletes and the political implications it had.

Since they made it into a felony the police started taking the issue seriously since when it was not a felony the offenders got only 2 months in jail that were converted into a fine(you could get 2 years and a large fine as well but you would have to be dealing in containers of anabolics and millions of euros). The police didnt really care when it was not a felony since there would be no proper convictions no matter what happened. Its not that steroids have become impossible to find since january but take note that the law has become downright evil and that things have changed. If you are caught you maybe ****ed.

With the new law anabolics are in the same category as heroin and other narcotics. Its law 3708/2008. Older laws were pretty hazy regarding the issue . The link above is a newspaper article. This is another link for the law but its in Greek too.

The laws changed of course because of politics not for some other reason. The ruling pary wanted to appear forthright and ethical.....what a joke.

Minimum Penalty seems to be 3 years And 25-50,000 euro fine and since its a felony there is no buying off the time.
