    Question Customs Letter Confirmation?

A friend of mine got a customs letter in the mail requiring signature confirmation. He doesn't have any incoming packs and all packs are already received, could have been from awhile ago? Anyways, he said it looks just like a regular seizure letter so told the mail man to just send it back that he doesn't want it (cool with mail man). First time he got seizure letter it just came, no signature confirmation required. This second time now seems customs is getting pushy and want a signature as proof it was delivered to sender. Any incite here guys with experience with this? Thanks.

Definitely dont ship to that addy anymore. Does the letter itself want a signature or do you mean it was mailed with USPS signature confirmation service?

Thats for sure! It was mailed with usps signature confirmation service. Bro saw it, said wtf to himself, told the mail man that hes cool with he doesn't want that ish and to just send it back to sender. Anyone heard of customs using usps signature confirmation service? Maybe it's because this is a second time now in about a year's time that a seizure letter was sent to same addy?

They will keep hassling him for that signature. I would definitely not give it to them. Customs databases = bad times. And I definitely wouldn't send anymore packages to that address.

You think they would keep pushing it even if the post sends letter back with no signature or anything? I would think they would have better things to worry about but who knows now a days with these people. Curious if anyone else has had a letter with usps confirmation service from customs delivered and what happened?

Thats crazy they would hassle him like that. My friend knows his rights so if they hassled im sure he wouldn't tell them ish. Just hope they don't have warrant for any kind of search based on this.

Yeah, the less information he provides them the better. Play dumb till the very end. It won't go that far but providng a signature is definatly not the right move so he did good there.

Seriousmass lives in Canada, it works a little differently over there.

I will tell you from experience you just destroy the letter because a US customs letter has "options".

I used a friend's address a while ago for a package that got seized, couple weeks ago he received a letter saying it tested positive for 11 banned substances.

All it said was it was going to destroyed unless he marked the option where he wanted to take it to court.

They are trying to nail people and make an example out of them! They know that some people have no common sense and will sign the letter figuring they have no choice

Yes, my friend knows this since the first letter many many months ago just came in with blah blah blah. He just shredded it, end of story. Now this letter had usps signature confirmation service added to it, customs wanted a signature upon delivery of the letter as proof that my friend received the letter! That was the scary part. My friend just denied it, didn't sign anything and mailman took it back to post to be sent back to sender. He just doesn't know now if theres gonna be anything else coming his way in the near future from this? For sure no more packs to that addy! Now he remembers what pack it was that this letter is for, it was for a very small order.

They want him to sign the package because if he signs it is basically acknowledging he knows what it is for. If he doesn't sign, they have nothing on him, pure and simple.
