amcon, Kathy and I trained legs on saturday. We have our second show next week end. For a change up I had her use the hammer strength squats machine with me. I have a bad back with some pretty severe nerve damage so I am limited in what I can do when it comes to certain exercises, especially for legs.
Between sets I made adjustments on the hammer strength squat machine so that we would both be dropping just below parallel. Kathy was doing the whole stack (395 lbs) for reps and this was after pre-exhausting her legs with 4 sets of leg extensions. I can't even get out of the hole with that kind of weight without feeling pain in my lower back. So to answer your question, yes she can squat more than me.
To bring things into perspective, a client of mine (a 250lb linebacker for Georgia Southern) had a squatting contest on this very machine back in the winter during our off-season. His legs are so strong that he is capable of using the whole stack on both of our leg curl machines at golds gym (seated and lying version) for reps. This linebacker was able to crank out 16 reps with the whole stack (395 lbs) on the squats machine. My wife did the same weight for 26 reps!!!!!!!! Her legs strength is ridiculous. She would excel at power-lifting but I am afraid her knees will get injured and keep her from training.
