Question Is it OK to mix oils?

I just recently read to increase my clean fat intake via EVOO, Walnut Oil, Almond Oil, and Fish Oil. It is also recommended to rotate these oils throughout the day. I take fish oil caps, so that oil is covered. Is there anything wrong with mixing Almond Oil, Walnut Oil, and EVOO then consume that throughout the day? This would just be easier for me to do and one less thing to consider each day with my diet (clean fat rotation). If this is a good idea should I add any oils (or omit) that I may have forgot to list?

No problems that I know of. Just be aware of what you're ingesting. For instance, cod liver oil is very potent in Vitamin A, as an acetate.

You can actually buy oil mixes at your local health food store. I buy one that's called SWIRL, it has Fish/Seed/Nut oils all mixed together with some lemon flavoring, to make it more palpable. It's so delicious you may be tempted to chug straight from the bottle.

    You got me wondering now,

    1) My fish oil caps bottle's ingredients read: Fish(Anchovy, Sardine), 99.99% purified fish oil. So I think that makes my safe on the vitamin A issue. Right?

    2) Pardon my ignorance: "Vitamin A, as an acetate" , does this just mean that Vitamin A is fat soluble and to watch out for potentially toxic level buildup?

    1) Read the label and check on Vitamin A content from fish oils. (Retinol)

    2) Unless you're using cod liver oil - you should be fine. Check this thread out for more information on Vitamin A OD.
