Has anyone had cortisone injection for plantar fasciitis? i've had the problem for nearly 12months now. did all the rehab work with my sports doc and podiatrist. now they're suggesting cortison injection as the last resort. but also told me about the associated risk such as tendon rupture and/or the injection not being effective after a few weeks.

just wondering if anyone has experience with this treatment and their views. Also, how long before i can resume normal sports activities after the injection? I'm a sprinter, so the intensity of training is extremely high. just worried i might go back into it too soon and rip the tendon!
