My mom has been a habitual dieter the last 20 years and I insist that she is doing everything wrong because she basically starves herself to lose weight and it does not work well because the weight just comes back when she starts eating again. I try to preach to her about learning the correct way to diet and she has agreed to follow a diet that I provide to her. I was hoping I could get some help from the guys/girls on the board.
Since she is a vegetarian she can only get her protein from eggs, cottage cheese, fish, shrimp, tuna, etc (no poultry etc).
Please Critique this diet as this is just a rough outline that I came up with as I made this post.
Meal 1
1 Whole Egg and 3 Egg Whites
Oatmeal (1/2 Cup dry)
Meal 2
1.5 Scoops Whey Protein
1/2 Cup Brocolli
Meal 3 (Lunch)
1 Can Tuna
Spinach Salad w/ Low Fat Dressing
4oz Natural Yogurt
Meal 4 (1 hr prior to 60 minutes cardio)
Banana
1 0z Almonds
Post Workout
1.5 Scoops Whey Protein
Meal 5 (Dinner--+1 hour from Post Workout)
6-8oz Fish
Brown Rice
1/2 Cup Steamed Brocolli
Meal 6 (Before Bed)
1 Cup Cottage Cheese
Any advice would be appreciated...
