be careful with the PK bro....they can grab you before you know it and it is a long hard road to rehab from...
take only when needed and try not to take on consecutive days...
addictive for sure but i plan on using them only when really needed (apreciate u lookin out for me tho!)
thanks for input guys
Combining the two is a bad idea only if you take them before lifting!
Yeah I use them here and there... very tempting to have but just be careful man.
Trust me you Dont wanna get addicted... I DID.. and it's a long long hard road of treatment.. I use the Methadone Clinic to help me through it all.. that and counseling...
I got addicted after a bad motorcycle accident and shattered bones, dislocated shoulder and hip, skull fractures, and a bunch of other stuff.. so .. yah long story short.. I was on the HARDEST PAINKILLER OPIATE BASED THEY PRESCRIBE FOR A LONG LONG TIME, So when they finally said we were cutting you off of them I was like WHAT ?!?! So I took the rehab route and ended up in the Methadone Clinic and my life has been PERFECT since...
A lot of people hear a lot of misconceptions about methadone and myths basically saying you are masking a drug with a drug but those are the type of people who are misinformed and dont know what the fvck they are talking about. ITS A TREATMENT PROGRAM and you are MEDICALLY MONITORED !! When done correctly you can't even TELL that people are on it. HELL, I bet NONE of you thought I was. A few select few knew.. and I dont know if I am even supposed to be talking about it but.. I am not ashamed. I am CLEAN and that is what matters. I just wish people fully understood what it actually was... its IDIOTS THAT ABUSE IT THAT GIVE IT A BAD NAME...
Much like if you ABUSE STEROIDS OR ANYTHING FOR THAT MATTER.. BAD THINGS HAPPEN...
There is a RIGHT WAY... and a WRONG WAY TO DO THINGS.. When things are done CORRECTLY then there is absolutely nothing wrong with it.. ya know??
I guess basically what I am saying is... AAS use and Painkiller use is OK if medically prescribed and monitored but.. Street use.. its definitely definitely a bad idea... IMO...
So, if you can get off of them easily.. then do it man.. jjust do it.. PAINKILLERS are not a good way to go, so do it... GET AWAY FROM THEM.. I sound like a MOM.. hahaha but if you NEED help man... There is definitely help out there if needed... PM if you need some help and such services... If you are all set and all that well then.. the best of luck to you.. I wish you well in your endeavors.. DONT GET ADDICTED !! Its bad news.. take it from someone who has been there...
Way to take back control of your life Duece... I am sure it was not easy.. well done.
Thanks dude.. yah it wasn't EASY at all. Still isn't everyday presents itself with new and different struggle. I just have to persevere and overcome. What has certainly been a big help though was my dedication to Physical Fitness before my accident/addiction and my dedication after the fact. That has played THE BIGGEST ROLE in recovery for me.
Honestly I dont know if I would be able to do it without the Gym. Thats the brutal truth of it all.
yea I completely understand man I'm right there with you.I've been on suboxin for the last 2 years and I can honestly say it gave me my life back.I did the methadone thing before to but this works out alot better for me for several reasons and the gym and bodybuilding lifestyle is the 1 thing that keeps me level headed and makes me never want to go back to that shit again, but to the op,ive never had any bad effects or problems using pain killers while on aas but just be carefull u don't get hooked
More people are becoming addicted to prescription drugs than illegal drugs these days.
I have 3 herniated discs and have been on every painkiller hare is over the last 14 years
started like this 6 X 5mg Hydrocodone (vicodin or Lortab) then 8X5mg then 10X5mg then 6 X7.5mg then 8 X7.5mg then 10X7.5mg then 6 X 10mg then 8X10mg then 10 X 10mg then went to 5/500 Percoset X 6 aday then 8 then 10 then went to 7.5mg percoset X6, then X8 then X10 then had to get off of those cause they were killing my liver from all the codeine and tylenol Long story short Went from them to Roxicodone 5's, then 15's then 30's After I lost my insurance I switched to Methadone because it is about 10-15X cheaper I know take 60mg of Methadone a day! 2 10mg pills 3X a day! Like the Percoset better but too expensive I have also watched friends go down the tubes on painkillers that is why Over 14 years i still only am up to 60mg of methadone. I told myself I will not go up more than 1 pill (10mg) every year to 18mo. and that is if I really need it! I have not upped my dose in over 2 years now and do not plan to! I do not think they will interfere with AAS and have never with me I would just say be carefiul as hell cause as the duece said.. before you know it you will be hooked on them! Everybody says "no not me" so be smart!! Dont let it happen to you
well see it's the total opposite with me,it's one hundred dollars a month and my insurance covers 60 percent of that and my script is only 25 dollars to where at the methadone clinic over here it's 12 dollars Ed which comes out to around 365 dollars a month and it's cash only,no insurance unless your on Medicade or something
Is the methadone just a substitute for opiate based drugs, or does it also offer painkilling properties?
Oh I see, you never hear about that
I have GREAT insurance I guess ... I pay 2 dollars PER WEEK to go to the METHADONE clinic... 2 dollars a week that SAVED MY LIFE...
I know, my counselor says that it didnt save my life, I saved my life but... it (clinic) gave me the shot i needed to get clean.. and since then haven't looked back...
I decided that I couldnt go the sub route because thats still a script in my hand that would give the potential for me to abuse it.. and take more than I am prescribed too...
The Clinic is a daily monitoring facility staffed with Medical Docs and Counselors to help you succeed, its not just a Prescription given to me every month for me to fill and then go on my merry way...
It was just personal choice... but I have shared what I have... I am done with the subject kinda not something I like to converse in... ya know?
So yah, my message is... dont do painkillers.. they are bad addictive things...
You wont die if you do mix AAS and them, but you CAN OD FROM DOING TOO MANY PAINKILLERS.. so that is why I advise people dont ever use them... COOL?...
Cool..![]()
I find Methadone works better for my pain. I like the way opiads make me feel as far as well being but the Methadone works better for me because I can actually go longer without taking them. If I miss a dose I will not go right into withdrawals like with percosets. with those If I go an hour over my due time I already start to sweat and get jittery! Methadone is way way harder to get off of though and the withdrawal symptoms are way worse! It is like dying but still being alive!!
I had surgery a few years ago and the doc gave me percocet for the pain. After taking them for about 10 days, I decided I didn't need them any more. I woke up in the middle of the night sweating, shakining and vomiting. I really thought that I had food poisoning. After a few hours of being sick, my wounds from the surgery were hurting from all the stress from vomiting. I felt I needed some pain meds at this point. Within minutes of taking the pill, all my sick feeling went away. All of a sudden, it dawned on me....my body was showing signs of withdrawal. This was after only being on the meds for 10 days. It really opened my eyes and made me realize how addicting it could be.
actually 5 days will start to do it! This is the same thing that happens to someone who breaks an ankle or leg etc. they get off them after 3-6 weeks and they get sick for 3-4 days but because they dont know it is withdrwals and a pill will cure their sickness, they stay in agony for the 3 days thinking they got the flu or sick from something and then after 3 days its over! happens all the time! If someone told them they could feel normal in 15 minutes by taking another pill they would end up being addicted forever too!
not having that information is what saves them from years or a lifetime of addiction. Seems funny but it is the truth
No doubt, it can be scary stuff
Bad idea for gains. Believe me, I herniated a disc in march, and i was taking morphine and perks (not at the same time) and i watched the scale fall!!! Im now a month and a half into my summer cycle and i just reached the point i was when i started eating the pkillers.
DUDE !! That is so true, so true... wow.. I love how you put that bro... most people.. thankfully ... are NUMB to the power of an OPIATE... but its weird, it is like AAS and painkillers usually go hand in hand.. ya know.. not saying EVERYONE but it seems whenever we involve heavy weights and possibility for injury we will use anything to dull our senses to get it done ... ya know what I mean?? Ok say for instantance, yesterday i did heavy DEADS.. my back is killing ME.. but I know today I have to do Heavy Bench Press... hmmm what can I do to give me an edge... OH I CAN POP a percocet or 3 and I will be FINE and good to rock n roll and get my workout done..
Do they work?? OF COURSE THEY DO.. Too well IMO...
Opiates are weird.. they dont actually kill any pain whatsoever.. they numb the brain to make us forget that we have pain and that in itself is a bad combo because that just leads to more INJURIES... because we think we can do more than we can because we dont feel that original pain...
OPIATES SUCK !!! DONT DO THEM..
im with u both, however never went with methadone...
i went with suboxone instead and found that the doc was trying to over medicate.i did extensive research and found that if i took half dose, it did same thing...
coming off was not bad, however still get slight withdraws from time to time that last a couple minutes....
opiates are the devil....i would rather live in pain then have them rule my life...
Do you guys know if pain killers are as rough on the liver as a cycle of orals?
Depends on what type. Most all of your opiates are morphine based which, by itself, is not particularly harsh on the liver. Some of the brand name painkillers, ie percocet, lorcet, vicodin, etc are tylenol based which can affect the liver. But nothing like a cycle of oral aas.
Just wondering if painkillers during an oral cycle would be really harsh on the liver. I know drinking is a no-no while on orals.
Again, that depends on what kind you use, how much, etc, etc, etc.... If you have an injury that requires legitimate use of schedule 2 narcotics, why would you be training and on cycle??? You can do more damage by masking the pain with narcotics and continuing to injure yourself more.
I get that. I just wanted to hear some opinions. You often hear warnings about drinking alcohol while on, but I have never heard warnings about using prescription painkillers, etc.
be careful man! im coming off a year long disc injury in my mid back , they had me on percs ,morphine ,zopoclone to sleep , flexril. its easy to get addicted to that stuff!!! watch out man. currently on 10th day of t-bol cycle . things are looking up! take care of yourself man.
woah lots of sharing goin on lol
yea im not addicted to them but see the severity of them. im actually not injured and just had them left over from a previous injury but i think i might just flush em and end that shiste
Just remember... another mans trash can be another mans treasure :P
I agree, opiates can really screw up lives. It's even more sad how many of the people addicted the painkillers....were never abusing them. Just years and years of being in true pain.
I also have heard that Methadone is a great painkiller. The half life on it is sick! lasts 48-72 hours.
I love my darvocet!!! Delicious!!
trust me, pk's are the devil. I've been on and off of lorcet 10's for the past 5 years or so since a football injury. These things will suck you in before you know it. I'm on this board trying to learn a few things before I start a cycle but this is one thing I'm too familiar with. When you start taking them specifically for pain, you think "no big deal", but before you know it...you're life is consumed by pills and your daily goal is to not run out. These things are a waste of time and money and I guarantee you will regret starting to take them because as sure as the day you were born, you will get addicted...that's just how they work. WD's from op's are the worst.
