Finasteride vs Dutasteride?!!

Which to use, which to use... I can't decide on which one to add to my cycle even after some research so I'm asking for a bit of input. Which do you use and why? Dosing? My hair only starts to fall out towards the end of a test cycle and then throughout PCT and a little beyond. I use Nizoral but that has been it. So I wanted to add either fina or duta. Now here's the kicker - just started a test/deca cycle (first time trying Deca).... and I have now seen that taking duta while on Deca is not a good idea?? Please, devulge your knowledge fellas! Thanks!

I use dutasteride whenever possible...then use finasteride to ease the pain on the wallet. Really doesnt matter imho. What is more important is to religiously take it for the long haul. Difficult to advise just dosing around cycles and pct. Not sure what the current consensus is on deca, bump for ya

I'd like to know more on this aswell, I heard that Dutasteride was a bad idea as it inhibits all of your dht production, which in terms of muscle gain is not good to do, and that fina is a much better choice, any comments from those knowledgable thanks.

As someone who is very concerned about hair loss I will give you my take. Dutasteride blocks not only circulating DHT but it also blocks it in the brain. The long term effects of that are unknown. Is it more effective in terms of amount of hairs retained, YES. But the difference is not that big enough to warrant inhibiting it in the brain. Finasteride itself has horror stories for many men who eventually go off and are impotent (but thats for another time). Dutasteride is not FDA approved in the United States for hair loss, only BPH. High dose (5mg) Proscar is also approved for BPH. With that said....

I have tried both and have a lot of both Finasteride and Dutasteride. What do I go with. Finasteride, always under 2.5mg unless cycling with anything over 500mg of test. There is no standard here my friend. Each body reacts different to each chemical and each persons genetics are different. I have found the likelyhood of Gyno with Dutasteride is much much higher but it DID keep more hair on my head. Let me remind you that the gyno was so bad and developed so quickly that even on letrozole it still started to form. Dutasteride is tough. I would just stick with Propecia and amp up the dosage based on what ur running. But in all honestly. If ur running test and have a family history of MPB no matter what you take its just slowing down the inevitable. I mean look at Jay Cutler. Amazing he has hair. Amazing. He just doesnt have the MPB gene. Im ranting. later. haha.

THanks JohnnyTest... very informative. I agrree about the inevitable on the MPB. Can anyone give any info on how they react related to Deca? Also, do both reduce acne?
