    Too old for AAS?

I am 48 years old and want to try my first cycle of AAS? Am I too old to start AAS and if not are there products I should stay away from due to my age?

I am 63 and still doing some moderate cycles. I just did a cycle of 500mg test E and 400mg Eq a week ,and i am not on HRT either.I started doing them when i was 34, and did them regularly for 3 or 4 years. Then i did them ocasionally ,done maby 20 cycles since i started. I am getting ready to try some tren for a short cycle and see how it works,i have heard how great it is.

You are too old if you don't wanna feel young again ?

If you are 48 and start taking test , you will be chasing the ladies .

If you want that responsibility , then shine up your shit kickers and roll up your sleeves .

    Enjoy !

Are you in general good health. Normal cholesterol, blood pressure, is your immune system normal. Talk to you Doctor about testosterone therapy. If he says your good to go health wise, you should be good to go doing what your going to do yourself.

Go see your doc, get cleared as being healthy enough for trt and find a good endo.

    Dr. re: TRT..?

What do say to the Dr. re:trt to get the ball rolling? Do you just ask to have your T tested? I am very strict about getting my annual check up for all the right 'stuff' but other than THAT the Dr. askS me about how my plumbing is working, which is fine, and the discussion doesn't go any further.

Well if you hopping for trt then you will need to tell your doc that you have had loss of libido and energy....you just dont feel the same as you used to lately. Hopefully this will push him in the right direction for getting your testosterone levels check. After seeing what your levels are you can go from there, if they are low you can see an endo for replacement thearpy, if not you can decide wether to do it yourself. You can cycle, as long as you get your heart and closteroland others checked. All though recoverycould be harder at yourage. All in all you need to make sure all parts of your health are in order.

Have my regular appointment early September so I'll attempt to get the conversation going. Of interest, you hit it on the head when you said loss of libido and energy and therefore a feeling of... I just don't got it anymore. Have always trained regular 4/5 days week for years and train real heavy but just can't cut it anymore.

Bet you will be a TRT bro for sure. You doc will (or should) check your free and total test.
If they come in low, or even kinda low, then push him to put you on TRT. Not the gel! Blood levels will be all over the place! Tell him you are comfortable giving yourself injections. Tell him youve done some reading on the subject, and would like to be started on 200mg ew of Test eithier Cyp or Ent. If your in the US it will be Cyp dosed at 200mg per ml
This is the "upper" end of TRT dose, but a good place to start. You can always taper down if your levels get to high.

But let him make the first suggestion. I know one guy on here that his doc started him on a full blown cycle (400mg each week) I think his doc wants to try a jump start his system.

    Good luck Bro!

We've talked about the normal health issues to get checked like cholesterol and blood pressure but is there issues with the prostrate at my age (48) if I was to do a cycle?

proscar (finasteride) is a great product to use in conjunction with aas It's used for shrinking the prostate but it also helps with hair loss since it either prevents conversion or binding of dht

Just back from the Dr. and my checkup. Attempted to express my concern that I have lost my drive, moody, tired, no sex drive, muscle loss in an effort to get my T tested... didn't work! Seemed to think my work schedule/volume was causing my issues, WHATEVER! The good news is kidneys, liver, blood pressure & cholesterol are all good. So I guess I have to decide if I'm jumping in with my first cycle. I appreciate all the advice offered and would appreciate comments relating to what my first cycle should be. Like most people my goal, if possible at my age, would be to put some mass back on my frame.

Are you saying you asked your Dr. to test your Test and he said no?

test should be tested at a normal physical, even without the complaints of symptoms...get a new doc...now getting them to prescribe it when you're test is age appropriate is another thing....

May change Dr. or just start my own cycle given BP, cholesterol and organ function all good. Research and advice from forums members re: recommended cycle for my age.
